Change Race | Change Name | Change Appearance

I see that there are 3 new options for character customization. I'm happy with my name and happy with my characters appearance, but i only want to change my "Race" to get a better bonus vs. my current race bonus. But if i do this, will this also change my appearance?!?.. i see there are multiple options including a "Change Name and Appearance", but i only want to change my race, but keep my appearance and name.

It's not possible to keep your appearance but change race! Imagine you're a nord and want to change to argonian. How could you keep the same look? Or how would the look of your argonian be randomly generated. Race change, by nature, includes an appearance change.

I was thinking that maybe people would assume that i was a Nord, raised by Argonians.. and this in titles me to their bonuses?!

I think Race Change already include appearance changes as well. But it does not come with free name changes as well. So be careful if you are using conventional argonian name, you will need Name change as well or your Nords name will be like

Well they are Racial bonuses, not Cultural bonuses.

Rofl...no

You change race from Nord to Argonian, you stop looking like a Nord and start looking like an Argonian. The upside is you get to completely remake your character without having to relevel it.

Well you could wear a costume were pretty much nothing is to see from your character - but his tail will always show anyway.

This said, Argonian is a race, which you should play with pride and confidence, it is a privilege to be an Argonian.

you have to choose what is more important to you, the racial bonuses or having your character look like you wat him/her to.
to me for example looks are much more important than a small racial bonus.

So i confirmed.. I spent 3000 crowns to change my race.. It does, only change your race.. But it's a generic "race" character! You can't alter their appearance or add tattoos etc..

To change these, I'd had to spend another 3000 crowns to change the appearance...$24 dollars down the drain

No I think you must have screwed up.

I spent the 3000 for the race change, and was able to completely customise my appearance just like making a new character. I guess you missed the button to swap to the appearance menus

When i changed from a Breton to a Redguard all the sliders stayed in the same place so I didn't look that different other than skin tone. Which I was quietly worried about because I liked the way I looked. Just needed the better bonuses for a stamina fulla.
