Still wondering why they felt like nerfing Footman, the 5th piece, evenwith 12% mitigation, is pretty bad.

WTB frens to do vDSA with. CP600. Will be tank slave or awesome DPS. My friends dont wanna farm this cos they think master weapons are trash. I, however, would like to collect them in the hopes that one day, they will retroactively fixed. PC-NA.

I have a full set of footmans now, why do you think it is bad? I also have a full set of tavas on as well that I wear at the same time. And as soon as I have the time to farm the dungeon, I will wear bloodspawn for the DPS till the last boss.
The reason is that my reasist with out the footman set would really low. Like at 30k spell and 25k buffed, I am a stam dk. I would not feel comfortable with that low of resist in vDSA. That extra 8% is huge when you are capped resist.
On topic, I feel like if it was 15% lower difficultly, it would perfect. Some of the bosses just feel like bags of HP. All the really hard hitting attacks can be interrupted.
I love my v16 footman set so what if I am selfish but what good is warhorn on battlemaster if tank is split 100% of the time I mean come on guys I may be a selfish tank but it sounds like your being a greedy dps that only cares about high numbers what good is high dps if tank has no stam to taunt?

Maybe Footman was something back then, when there were few good jewelry for tanks, but times have changed.
Footman, besides the fact that the calculations of the 5th piece makes it having waaaay less mitigation than indicated, also brings nothing to the group. The role of the tank has evolved from being mostly taunting & surviving, to a more support-oriented role, hence why it's all about having very high uptime on Warhorn, and bringing group-wide buffs with Ebon, Worm, Hircine's Veneer, Alkosh...
As for your resists... Huh, I'm curious about your gear, because I hit the spell resist cap while buffing up (almost for physical resist), and that's if Bloodspawn is on cooldown...

Lol farming vDSA. It will take you at least 2 hours with a good group. The first time I beat it this week, it took 6 hours. AND three out of the four weapons dropped in charged. So good luck!
