Finally Completed vMA

After trial and error, I finally conquered that awful place and was rewarded with an Infused Maul.

I want to give @Alcast a huge thank you for his video guides on youTube. I also want to thank all the members that gave me great tips in a previous thread: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/281853/vma-round-9-boss-fight-tips

Anyone who is nervous or intimidated to try the arena, I recommend that you chip away at it. You do not need a huge amount of damage but you need to study the mechanics.

Even though vMA will raise your blood pressure, it teaches you how to be a more rounded and better player.

Yeah I just completed it last night for the first time as well. Got the exact same weapon too. Will I do it again? Probably not, but is nice to know I finally completed it

Haha right. I am going to give myself a few weeks off until the console patch happens.

I am after a Sharpened Bow and Axe and a Precise Dagger.

Well for some weapons like the Bow, Infused is actually very very good. Anything that goes on your back is great with infused. Even that Infused Inferno Staff is good. Probably better than Sharpened actually, because the enchantment carries on to your main DPS bar so the stronger the enchantment is the better.

But yeah the Infused Maul is kinda bad

Yeah you're lucky to get a weapon on your first clear. I got that sweet arcane Para Bellum ring... And the run after than I got a robust succession ring... Then the charged weapons started coming... They are still coming... Hell, I'll even say they are flooding my bank !

I got an infused maul as well. Since I'm going to use it on a stamblade only for the extra weapon damage, I'm going to try to make it work. Should be fine if I readjust my CP alil

Do you use Critical Rush, my stam blade doesn't use a 2H at all.

That last part! 100% correct

Whenever I grind up a character, I am not very reactive when I use them in PvP. I play sluggishly.

My solution is to run vMA ~2 times (no sigils) and complete it with minimal deaths. Immediately afterward I can play the class spec totally fine and top notch like usual. Works every time!

Congrats on your first completion. It gets much easier from here on out!

Thanks, I imagine it will be easier next time. I really mastered some of the rounds' mechanics.

I like your strategy as well. You can't blame the healer or tank in vMA.

Good job! I can only get in there once every couple weeks because of my raging. Stuck on level 4 now, maybe I'll beat it by year's end.

Yeah, every round is a learning experience.

Level 4, I tried killing the shield things ASAP. That was by far the easiest of the whole arena, IMO.

I don't. The weapon damage is what I'm after tho. I have 75ish point in tharmaturge and I only use poison injection. So I'll just move them over to piercing. Should change build all that much

Still on my first clear, but getting close. After hearing the horror stories of 10+ hours for a virgin clear, I was certainly put aback. Then I found out that the Arena wasn't too hard. I was expecting much, much worse. Of course, it still gets frustrating.

I felt as if the trash mobs were nice and easy. But now on stage 9, I'm stuck on round 3 due to a lack of DPS on my part, which causes some of the mobs to stack up quickly, and then I get CC'd, put in ogrim flames, or pulled into ghosts. Probably have spent 30 minutes on that one round, which is more time than I spent on all of the previous stages.

So close, yet so far. I'll get through it. But to be so close...

You got an infused inferno on your first clear? It took me 7 months of grinding to get my 1st... and that didn't even drop for me it came from the weekly with being on it 4 toons for months... you got lucky.

I was stuck on 9 for a few days. I changed up my stamina regen and that did the trick.

I'm striving to get Master Angler. Around halfway there, but have taken an ~8 month break from fishing

I would wear Master Angler if I were you. My Flawless Conqueror will get replaced when I earn that title!
