Rly why is there maintenance again?

Because there is in game bugs that are game breaking they have to fix. Like not being able to Group bug, other bugs and also preformance issues possibly memory leaks. Basically its to fix a bunch of things. I think that are glitched. Possibly another patch.

Double maintenance on patch week is to be expected. Nothing reveals bugs quite like pushing a patch.

I just wanna know why it had to be so dang early. Like the new standard maintenance time wasn't bad enough. Jeez.

I don't care about this one, I'll find something else to do. The maintenances that get me steaming mad are the ones that coincide with trader switchover. I say move all maintenance to wednesdays so it doesn't interfere with trader bids.

They need to stop khajiit randomly glowing bright green.

It is affecting this ones ability to quietly drink herself to the floor in the corner of The Rosy Lion without being noticed.

have you seen them fix anything this past year? beacuse if yes, I must have been missing... I just see more issues with each patch, and now with the smallest patch possible the game completely fried.

@MasterSpatula At least they're attempting to fix it now rather than later. Notice the word 'attempting' in the previous sentence. My point is that it doesn't matter if it had to be early as long as @ZOS get to fix it.
Or at least partially fix because knowing @ZOS, fixing bugs could very well amplify the bugs' side effects. *sighs*

That's just a bunch of rubbish... The game just couldn't handle the amateurish programming anymore, I think that's uber obvious from the state of the game yesterday.

In the UK, "mandatory" would mean that it is compliance with legal requirements, and updating operations so that they are lawful, that is the cause of the work.

Mandatory doesn't mean legal. Mandatory in thier case means it needs doing other wise the game grinds to a halt. Think of it like a pc disc clean up / defrag but on a huge scale. A small patch is being snuck into it as well.

No, the UK English definition of the term "mandatory" means something that is demanded by law. It may mean something different in the US, but given that we are an international community, picking a different word to use would be better. "Necessary" or "Essential" would be better choices.

Lag and bugs have been there since beta, if I really thought *this* maintenance would fix it (when the previous 100+ maintenance times didn't) I would indeed be rejoicing.

I just hope they are going to fix max level writs.

@Vipstaakki Which maintenance that will fix the game? The one that happened two days ago? The one happening now? Or perhaps all the maintenances that fixed the game in the past? Or do you see the future and are talking about one that's yet to happen?

Couldn't they have done the mandatory maintanance during the downtime yesterday and waited until next week to implement the purge hot fixa. I mean really, they had all that downtime yesterday to do what ever the hell they needed to do and waiting a week to fix purge wouldnt make or break the game.

You manage to schedule downtime for the NA server during the middle of the night (NA time); why don't you start to value your EU customers and actually schedule downtime for the EU Server (yes there's a clue as to who the user base this server is aimed at) during the middle of THEIR night, say 3am CET

MOST will have moved to a bug free mmo before ZOS fix there bugs... only reason ppl put up with this crap from a modern mmo is cause there cheap ass and dont want to pay a sub!! hence why ZOS dont need to rush to fix things lets not forget why they went to the F2P so quick after release... beacuse no one would pay a sub for a buggy game!!

I'm absolutely sure they do this only to bathe in the tears of the forumites. Why else would they do a maintenance?
