vMA tips please

So i've been attempting vMA for a month now and I just cannot for the life of me get past the final round of the very first arena. I get the boss down to about 25% and he starts one shotting me every single time.

Also how is this arena even possible if you're not a templar? The damage in is beyond crazy. Just surviving up to the final round feels like a fight for my life every second without a moment to breath from the damage coming in.

I have to spam the spear ability because it can heal while i do damage. If i stop for a second, i immediately die.

Then you get over run by adds which do as much damage as the boss that you have to kill while the boss still has his way with you...

I understand the mechanics of the fight. Kill the adds before he absorbs them and heals, so I am at least informed that much....

I am in no way saying nerf this, as I enjoy a challenge, but I cannot afford a new mouse and I'm about to break it by hucking it at the wall because of these seemingly random deaths. So any tips on how to defeat this ****er is welcome.

Is there a recommended CP level or gear level for this? I hear about people blasting through these arenas like they are nothing, and i'm just sitting here like.......HOWWWWW???!!!! hahaha

vMA is supposedly balanced around a player with ~300CP.

Can you post your Class/Gear/Skill setup? Tons of knowledgeable people here, but they will need more info about what you're running before they can help.

I know MY CP is low.

I don't expect to be able to really get much further than the first arena, but this is where I am at. Any help will be appreciated.

Nah, you totally can. Won't be easy, but you can.

I do vMA on a Stamina NB, so I don't know a ton about Magicka Templars in there specifically. Although, a lot of my issues in vMA came from low damage output. I just wasn't good at PVE content when I first tried it. Just a few bullet points I can think of atm:

Gold Spell damage enchants on Jewelry?
All Magicka Enchants on Gear?
Learn to play without the same skill on both bars (Most accomplish this by dividing into a general offense/defense setup for bar 1/2, or Single Target/AOE). It will feel strange at first, but worth it. You'll free up 3 skill slots for other abilities.
Sharpened or Precise on Destro (I believe sharpened is considered BiS for damage)?

The first arena is a dps test. You need to be able to dps him down before he teleports twice. If he teleports more than that your dps is too low.

Twice? That's absurd.

I did the first arena with 200cp magicka templar 5/1/1 armor master tank only gold swords, shields, and helm yet had him teleport like 10 times before killing him and had no difficulty. Then I completed the next 5 arenas with no issues dealing damage fast enough.

The obsessive fixation with DPS needs to just die. This is ESO, not some *** MMO where everyone spends their day attacking a DPS dummy trying to kill something 1 millisecond faster.

Don't feel so bad. I'm in the same boat right now, and I'm 501 CP, which I am being slammed on from some, for being that CP and can't get through the 1st stage. Well, my issue.. I just lack stam, which is only currently 25k. It should be in the 30k and higher, which I learned and working towards it. Yup.. it happens same for me. Once, his health is down to 25%, he repeatedly blasts you and spawns more of his minions. By that time, I'm pretty low or my stam is already depleted, and I was not able to roll/dodge from their attacks or traps. So, I currently working to up my stam meter with new armor sets combo to boost stam before I head back in.
