Did a race change, love the new room for the whole character appearance with new lighting, got everything done, tried to be scrupulous on the hair color, and I went with what looked like a dark copper for my new High Elf. In-game its a bright blonde :( I'm not going for another appearance change for the hair, but its annoying it still isn't the same in-game.

That's unfortunate. While I think the lightening in the style parlor room is better than in the original character creator in Cold Harbor, it would still be better if we had options of lightening and scenario in there to make sure of what we are doing. It would be nice if we could have hair colors like collectibles, like hair styles. So we would be able to change to whatever color we want, whenever we want.

And then we could also have colors that are available to other races but not to ours, like happened to the base hair styles.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

That's why I suggested, but nobody replied, that some kind of time frame would be ideal for appearance change! Characters DO look differently in-game than in the "studio". Some kind of "you got 1 hour to make additional changes before token expires" would do the trick.

I don't like the fact that when I click on "save" my 1k crown (token) disappears and I cannot fine-tune my character according to the in-game appearance.

It'd be nice if there was a "change lighting" dial so you could see various types of lighting in game (e.g. a dynamic world with shifting lights -vs- a well designed room with focused lighting).

FF14 has that, and I dont understand why its not an obligatory thing in most mmos, especially when you pay 1000 crowns to change your appearance :(

I /agree with maboleth. If the char is going to look different from the Parlor once we get into the live game, we need a short time period to evaluate and adjust.

I support this, because the same hair color choice does look slightly different with different hairstyles - there has to be a way to adjust the color to get an appropriate color again without to pay 1000 crowns every time for it - what I will certainly not do.
