Step 4 - Instantly crash upon trying to load the game, on both 64 bit and 32 bit
Step 5 - profit??
But seriously, is anyone else having this issue? I saw others not being able to download the patch but nothing really about the instant crash upon hitting 'Play' or loading the game from a shortcut. Please help.

mike_de✭✭✭They are delivering corrupt data packages from their download server. As far as I understood, they are trying to find the problem.
If you verify the game again, you will most likely see, that it is corrupt again.
Same happenend to me. Game seemed OK, I started it, and it crashed. I am really pissed right now.
I've never seen so much incompetence in developement as here today. A patch that isn't properly tested, like klingon software, running wild on our systems. No patch notes beforehand. And on top of it corrupt data packages from the download servers.
Even IF your game manages to start, you are not able to tell, that the data isn't corrupt.Edited by mike_de on August 1, 2016 11:51PM4 -

Didn't really understand that, but if what mike_de is saying is true, then there is corrupted data in the update. Restarting your computer may allow you to download the update, but the corrupted data would still be there.1 -

Well, its hopefully not currupted data in my case. All I know is, yeah several times through this one patch thing that is a 4gb something download, when it goes to apply at the end when basically it only has like 0.02 left, it fails saying patch data was unable to uncompress data, and it says to relaunch the launcher or repair. But yeah I restarted laptop in the hopes it going through the patch this time and apply it.

Same. If I try "repair" it wants to download the entire game again. Not doing that. Something similar happened last time w/ DB update for me but can't remember how I got around it. Think I had to delete a file or something, start repair, pause repair, do something else, then do that other thing. Hell, I can't remember but it's a pain.0 -

metabLast3r✭✭✭Awesome, on an 8 week TDY trip for work. Brought my desktop with me in a hotel with mediocre internet. Left my launcher up before leaving for work this morning to patch, and now it just crashes on me and through a repair it asks me to re-download. Eff that. Kudos ZOS.2

✭✭Well, I finally after doing it several times, trying to patch the game had to hit the repair option, hopefully it fixes the problem. Its pissing me off. I would imagine they will need to do emergency maintenance to fix the problem as well as fix the problems that were added.PC NA

I've tried to repair multiple times, along with the patcher asking to download 4 gigs worth of stuff.. multiple times.
All I wanna do is play the damn game. :'(1 -

✭New update and problems. Never fails with this game. Since patch, constant load screens, Game Not Responding, Out of Sync instances. Got to hand it to ZOS same ole crap with every update.1 -

I was told by a CS person that it's because my computer doesn't fit the requirements anymore despite the fact that I was playing it perfectly fine (on high settings too) up until the update.0 -
