Launcher Problems

The launcher downloaded the patch, demanded a repair and is now downloading the entire game. I'm unsure where it's trying to download it to because I have the full game downloaded and installed in the standard folder. Any advice on how I can avoid waiting for 40gb to download?

✭✭✭✭✭If you get the "repair" prompt, don't repair the client, just exit the launcher and reopen it. You may need to do that once or twice to get the "Play" prompt. It's an issue that sometimes affects the launcher for a few days after an update although I haven't seen it in quite a while.
Alternatively, you can use the launcher to install an update and afterwards login from the .exe file in the game folder.0 -

Tried it first, but the game crashed on startup after that.

i did the repair thing after the patch and its gonna be a long download Grand Master Crafter, Beta baby who grew with the game. PC/NA. @Sheezabeast if you have crafting needs!0 -
Aral_Ebordna✭✭I got a locked file error during the application of the patch. The only thing running was the ZOS launcher. Not sure why there was a locked file from the ZOS process. The issue isn't a repair. The issue is the patch never gets applied, then screws up the entire game needing a 32GB download. I tried launching the exe directly. I get an instantaneous client crash. I've tried rebooting the computer. No help there. ZOS completely borked the game.0 -
CerseiL✭✭I have a problem of it freezing download at 27% and my whole PC is stuck so i can not press anything and I keep having to press down switch off button, I did wait 30 minutes for the first time but nothing changed now downloading the whole game again since I had no choice0

✭✭Well I just closed the launcher when it said to repair then relaunched the launcher waiting for it to download. Hopefully the patchs that were downloaded before it did it, are done and this is downloading the rest of the patch needed.PC NA
