Bought one of the new dyes, crowns wasted, dye doesnt say "purchased" nor can I access the costumes

As usual ZOS doesn't word things properly, the dyes say they are for your Costume and Hat, I was assuming that we could manually buy each dye to unlock costume dying since we're not ESO plus, but apparently thats not how it works or my purchase simply did not enter.

I bought this, still don't have access to the dye costume and hat, nor does it say purchased. What the *** happen?

The screenshot has a "1" next to a little bag icon, leading me to believe that you have the stamp in your backpack.

it is a consumable item, so it won't say "purchased"... also has been clearly said in patch notes...that costume dying was for ESO+ only...

Edit: looks like you are playing on PS4? Which actually doesn't have costume dying at all yet.. so strange that you can buy those items on crown store there.. unless they just released it to all

I'm sure they said that there was going to be costume dyieing for non eso+ players, with dye stamps or something.

yes, dye stamps are for everyone - whereas costume dyes at a dye station is just for ESO+.

On the keyboard interface, you select the dye (E) from your inventory, then apply change (R).
So whichever buttons those are on the controller interface.

The dye stamps are one use only. Check your inventory and you will see the dye stamp in there. When you use it when wearing the costume and hat or just costume or just hat of your choice it will dye that item to that colour. One time. Dye stamp will stamp your item with that colour and be used up

One of the fishing achievement dyes is available for purchase in these packs? Kind of a slap to those who did the fishing.

Dye stamps can be used even if you don't have ESO plus. It is literally a one use only consumable that dyes your equipped costumes

Actually, it doesn't. The PSs use square, triangle, circle and X as it's face buttons. The XBoxes use A, B, X, and Y.

That Dominion Fisher Yellow is exactly the type of yellow I want for my Dominion-based characters. Damn, got to work on my fishing. Got to have that dye by hook or by crook. Most likely by hook, than crook. lol. >.<

I have a similar problem as the OP, I've bought the dye stamp and have it in my inventory, but it says: "Cannot apply at this time."

I've tried it out on the pts before and it worked there. I wrote a ticket to support yesterday but so far I've got no answer.

Question: does the applied stamp remain on the costume if you unequip it and equip it back again, or does the costume go back to its default colors, cuz that would be kinda reaaaaally lame if it did not persist.

Switch off all your addons. I've had the same problem, one of my addons was locking the dye stamp (dunno which one, got a giant bunch of them).

It certainly is supposed to persist. In fact, there's not actually any way to remove a stamp-dyed colour scheme from a costume if you don't have ESO Plus, so be sure you like it, as you'll be stuck with it. (You can of course override it with another dye stamp, but without ESO Plus there's no way to get the original colours back.)

I was under the impression that costume dyeing was for everyone. Just, ESO+ members could use the dyes they unlock, everyone else had to use the crown store preselected colors. I could be mistaken though

Yeah, that's correct  If you don't have ESO+ you have to buy one-time dyes in the Crown Store. They are random and basic colours though, I think.

That's just confusion over wording. Everyone can dye costumes, but only ESO Plus membership can use the unlocked dyes and the dyeing interface at dye stations. Everyone else must use dye stamps which are bought on the Crown Store, and stamps are applied directly and not through the dyeing interface.

ESO Plus - Can customise each costume with any dye they like that they've unlocked.

Non-Plus - Cannot customise or access costume dying at a station. Is restriced to crown store dyes that automatically dye a costume with purchased stamp. Cannot change without buying another stamp or upgrading to Plus. Also cannot revert unless upgrades to Plus.

I've been having the same problem. I don't know which of my addons was causing the problem so I just shut them all off, applied the dye, then turned them all back on. Problem solved!

By elimination, I've found not one, but two addons causing the "Cannot apply at this time" problem. The first culprit is "Idle Animations", the other one is "No, thank you!" Having either one of these two enabled blocks the usage of dye stamps for me.
