I'm a returning player and I can't believe about this Maintenance

Isn't ESO an AAA MMORPG? Will the server be down for 12hour in prime time in an HOLIDAY (for part of Europe).

I played tons of different MMO/MMORPG in my life and I never saw a thing like that, is it happens often?

Maybe it's just me but it seems unreal, 9am-9pm Maintenance? oO

Where are you people even coming up with this schedule?

All I see is that the servers went down at 4:00am EDT. Nothing about when they're coming up.

So where is this magical schedule shown? It's not at the top of the forums, and god knows the Launcher doesn't tell you jack ***.

@AClockworkLime Click on the dev tracker. That shows all of Zos posts and you can click on them there.

Pretty sure the post mentioning the delay is in the maintenance section of the forums.

4am-4pm edt is 9am-9pm in Europe.

here and no a 12 hour down time is not too normal but it does happen on occasion

I've played games that had their update down for 24+ hours.
People will get angry and say the game is crap, cuz you know..people.
The game will come back and they will play it even though they said they "hate it"

Bear in mind that (1) this downtime is extended beyond the scheduled time due to unforeseen technical issues, and (2) this is neither routine maintenance nor an incremental patch, it's a new DLC update. Most games have longer downtime when they're launching anything like an expansion rather than just a server reboot and clean-up or a couple of hotfixes.
