Personal Armor with Polymorphs

If I buy a polymorph, can I display any of my armor pieces over it? Or does it completely replace those?

I would love my Khajiit to not look like a Khajiit anymore (hate playing characters with tails)

Nope. Polymorphs totally cover up everything. You can't choose to wear your current armor over it.
