Not A Whole Lot Of New Is There?

I understand people's concern with the need for new and exciting content however, as a console Player, most of the game (in its current state) is completely unplayable. I agree new co tent needs to be continuously released to make the game feel great but the current mentality from Zenimax is to push out content "as is" and the. Worry about fixing the major issues at a later date.

Major issues with current co tent need to be addressed before new content is released and when that new content is released it should be polished. Unfortunately I don't think Zenimax has resources to do either of these things. The code has been bandaided so many times and too many programmers have had their hands in it. Future content will continue to be EXTREMELY bugged and existing content will probably never be polished.

Honestly I'm surprised they didn't charge me 2500 crowns for each of the new dungeons, and another 2500 for each of the "remastered" trials.

The point here, if you genuinely did not get it, is that the price of a DLC pays for a lot less than it used to. Each DLC released in the 2016 has had less actual content to it than the previous release. In other words, same price, less product. Unless that product comes at an additional price, of course.

Hmmm ... as @ZOS_MattFiror indicated, ZOS would be releasing smaller content updates with a smaller amount of time in between those updates.

And that is exactly what they did.

Sure, Shadows of the Hist is a smaller content pack ... but it also costs less crowns (1,500 crowns for the DLC). In addition, the update will be available to us only 2 months after Update 10. Before Update 10 content updates were quarterly.

Claiming this DLC pays for a lot less (when 1,500 crowns is pretty reasonable for all the stuff we are getting) ... is disingenuous and misleading to both ZOS and the forum community.

    More new material?
    That's the problem!
All hands should be geared toward fixing the base game.
The ZOS focus on new content has left the game a wreck.
Just piling more issues on top of the old.
Each DLC makes gameplay progressively worse.
    It ain't easy being green.

So honestly? I'd rather they fix the game itself, and flush out all of the: Bugs, flaws, issues, etc. plaguing the game. Then try and offer new and fresh content.

There isn't enough time in a decade for this. Seriously though, their track record proves they don't give a singular *** about 95% of their community. Every time I see someone praising ZoS for 'Finally being able to dye costumes' or saying 'They listen to the community', I die a little inside.

I've said it numerous times on these forums and will gladly and openly say it again, this game will continue to spiral downhill in terms of end-game, content that is engaging, more and more bugs mounting up weekly, and to this day they still don't have all the commonly wanted things you'd find in an MMO (my biggest gripe is lack of target dummies, 2 years and still failing to deliver to the end game community), and this will continue until they sack their current dev team and hire some competent people who can actually take advice and feedback from their community.

But the developers have said, this isn't a 'traditional' MMO, and they are right, it's a broken down dysfunctional mess of an MMO.

Aren't they all, just a little bit?

I hear ya OP but I really think after One Tamriel rolls out we will see major DLC's coming again. They are going to get the world scaling and all that accounts for locked down before we see anymore huge zones and big changes to play.

I've done pretty much all there is to do, and I feel that others may soon find they're getting fatigued too.

I've played since PC launch, I sub, I run two accounts, I play most days at least 30 min-2 hours and sometimes 6-7 hours on both weekend days.

I haven't finished the whole initial release yet, nevermind Wrothgar. Haven't done much other than a couple quick skyshard hunts in Hew's Bane or Gold Coast. Used to spend a lot of time in IC, but haven't been there since it was changed in the last patch.

Y'all are bored? Do you even remember any of what you did? Or was it all just a high-speed blur of a grind?

The answer to your question is that you run two accounts. While I still have a lot to accomplish, its a lot different for people who only run one or two characters.

They cut staff. They are releasing content shown 2 years ago piecemeal. They either are planning for a large new content release or trying to tread water as long as possible. You decide

It's not disingenuous or misleading. I am stating my opinion. I see 1500 crowns for 2 new dungeons. Everything else is either a remastered version of existing content, or comes with an additional price tag. Remastered content is what people in my industry call a "value-added product" and is not typically contingent upon an additional cost to the customer.

It really is a matter of perspective. One might suggest that the value of the 2 new dungeons alone is 1500+ crowns, and that the addition of remastered content to this DLC is indeed a value-added product. I cannot claim this opinion is false, no matter my own views. I am also free to disagree, and doing so is not disingenuous in and of itself. However, in this example, a subscriber might very easily suggest that we should be receiving 2 new dungeons per month, or every other month, considering the number of people who do subscribe to this game.

still waiting on the promised spell crafting and structured pvp archetype

Just don't think this is going to happen as it would not work in an mmo setting, spell crafting that is. Everyone is expecting a Morrowind level of freedom which is not possible due to balance constraints. All spell crafting could possibly be in an mmo, is the addition of a few new skills, with different perks to pick. After everyone had time to get a good look at them and test them, we would all just pick the most op one or the one that made sense for our build. So really all spell crafting would boil down to, is the addition of another universal skill or skill line.
