Idea for 5th Mage's Guild skill - Levitation!

This skill would provide immunity to Roots and Snares while active.

    I actually suggested this so Magicka builds had a good counter for rooting.

    If we are heading back to Vvardenfell, it will be interesting to see how ZOS deals with the levitation required to move around the Telvanni structures.

    They would probably implement it as a quest-tied buff or whatnot. However, this could work for that too if need be lol

    Of course if a quest requires levitation they'd probably have an NPC cast it for you so you don't HAVE to slot it as a skill.

    Make the ability slowly reduce your magicka while active, balance problem solved right there and makes sense as well.

    Or they will more likely do it like in Dragonborn and have a lift that levitates you when you activate it.

    I liked levitating back in TES:Morrowind, so I'd like an levitation option here as well.

    Though I guess they would not go for it because then people could levitate too much, levitate over their invisible walls, or levitate into keeps to steal scrolls, or stuff like that... and keep any levitating to "interact with this item for a fadeout and fadein in new location" kind of thing, much like some ladders, ropes or the vine in malabel tor... (how I'd wish they had made those actually "climbing" enabled... AoC did it ages ago...)

    They will most likly do what they did in skyrim. Have a activate which levitates you up.

    Or it can replace equilibrium. With the chamipon point system that skill is useless.

    I loved levitating in morrowind!

    that kind of levitation would be OP in PvP

    but when i read the original post i imagined a skill that worked exactly the same as shuffle, but levitated you like dark exchange (sorc skill) used too, so it was more like o hover than a levitaion.

    if it is introduced with Vardenfell, it woul be nice if there was a magic & a health morph, because a counter to CC's that tank's could use their largest pool to use would be an interesting dynamic! imo

    I think ya all are spending too much time with the brown mage from LoTR smokin' wayyyy too much of the hobbit grass rofl. We got enough problems just trying to jump onto a 2 foot high stair, and you guys want to levitate? /smacks head. ZoS could never get this right even if they wanted to do this. Which from my experience...will never ever happen.

    Still a cool idea, but realistically? In this game? Mmmm sorry. Just don't see it =/

    Equilibrium just need to be remade entirely into something else. It can stay if they just get rid of that damned Health cost.

    And why not? Honestly my first idea was to add the ability to make portals for people to use to get around but Levitation has more utility.
