Lower prices means they'd sell a lot more, people would be more inclined to swap races if it was cheap and a new build they'd like to use has a different race.

A lot of gold for some people. If you think a race change is too expensive partner, don't get one. Or just keep complaining... I know its hard for some people to stop. I think the price is fair and have stopped caring.3 -

If everyone was doing it all the time the [Snip] would be extreme so they they price it higher so then they can say that we priced it higher to discourage people from swapping all the time. We did our part so what do you want us to do? That and free market, never say no just price it really high to discourage people and if you end up having to do then well at least you are compensated well. My wife watches dogs from our home for about 30 dollars per night and sometimes people will have emergencies and won't have time for us to meet the dog before hand (which she usually just declines) I tell her just give them a really high price say 100 dollars per night, kinda the penalty for stupidity that and you don't know if the animal is going to be aggressive so just in case you have a biter you are compensated for the extra stress.

Any choice you made without investigating it appropriately was your fault, so now you gotta pay for it.

The game has changed a lot since it first began. Racials were not as important as they are now thanks to the removal of soft caps. My choice was based on the game in its state in 1.2 or something. Now I have to pay $20 if I want to min/max. They charge 3k crowns because they can, its not to deter people. They know people really want it so they will pay for it.6 -

If it was really about them not wanting us to change our character too often they could have just put in a waiting period between apperance change token purchases. It really is simple as that. I don't even want to change my race, but this is absurd. Racial passives have changed since launch and will soon change again. No, at the time of character creation we had no way of knowing what the best races would be in 2016 and beyond. Ulfgarde✭✭✭✭✭Race change is fair enough IMO. Most MMOs I see charge around $20-30 for it, so I so need issue here other than people complaining out of lack of experience.

What you don't seem to realize is that this is the best possible way it could be done. DLC, which is actual content that is very important, is cheap. Convenience and cosmetic stuff is expensive. It is better this way than the other way round. WAY better. It is much easier to skip convenience and cosmetic stuff than something that offers actual content, after all.

As for the price of race change: They need some way to regulate FOTM rerolling.
Name/appearance change is expensive but then don't name your chars in a way that requires changing later on.
