It is really necessary to have two weapon set ?

monkeyblur
I just started a new character to become a Templar Dps. I set my character to full stamina build attributes with Redguard passive races : stamina regeneration
And before I build my character , recently I've doing research about Templar build for DPS and most of all either using 2H and Bow , 2H and dual or with bow.
  • If i'm going to use only one set of weapon , is this really effective to endgame and pvp-ing ?
  • And if have to use two weapon set , can you guys help me what best situation to a certain weapon that I should choose ? I think i'm gonna use 2H and Dual wield since dual wield has a great AOE if this possible to me

The benifit of having a second weapon equipped is that you get 5 more skills to use, so if you wanted to, you could use the same weapon on both bars

if you do both 2H and DW you will have Zero range capabilities. I mean, there's flying blade from DW but doesn't really count. That's the benefit of going with either 2H/bow or DW/bow.

If you're planning to PvP exclusively then 2H/bow is probably the stronger build. AoE is not used that often in PvP unless zerging.

With that said, take the time to level them all! have someone help you to make a set of training gear and level DW first until you get whirlwind (morph to steel tornado) so you can AoE grind mobs quickly. Then simply stack skills from the skill tree you want to level on your bar while you steel tornado mobs and those trees will level. Won't take long at all and you'll have the option to switch which is great for different situations.

so it means i'm going to stack up skill with 2H and DW first then with Bow later at the endgame ?
Right off the bat your bar could look something like:

    With DW weapons equipped:
Slot1: DW skill (flurry then whirlwind when unlocked)
    Slot2: 2h Skill
    Slot3: Bow skill
    Slot4: Templar Skill
    Slot5: Templar Skill
    Ult: Ultimate

You will only be able tu use the Templar and DW skill this way as you wont actually have a 2h or bow equipped but the skills and the skill trees will level with just having the skills on your bar. Your 2 "dead" skills will feel funny at first, but this is actually the most efficient way to level multiple skill lines simultaneously while grinding mobs or quests.

The other option is to swap the skills from the skill lines you want to level to your bar immediately before handing in a quest for experience and then switching back to your combat bar. But I usually forget and end up wasting a lot of time lol. It's also not as efficient as keeping the skills on your bar while you grind XP in between quest turn ins.

Well we can use the same type of weapon, we can't use the exact same one for back up though, I've tried that a couple times.
