BLOOD FOR THE PACT! is the words that forevermore shall be cried whenever any force dare assault the proud combined forces of the Nord, Dunmer and Argonian people. The Ebonheart Pact stands strong, despite the neverending war for the Ruby Throne in Cyrodiil, yet it is at the homeland itself the strife now arise.

The four Ashlander clans of Kagesh, Ulath, Mabrigash and Vereansu have branded together in a warband against the Ebonheart Pact forces on the mainland of Morrowind, but what has caused the Ashlander to attack with such ferocity?

For now, it matters little to the Pact, these invaders must be repelled by any means necessary! The Ebonheart Pact has therefore called for all aid it can gather under these difficult times, and summons both warriors, mercenaries and heroes alike to free the land of Morrowind from the Ashlander Invasion!

The Community Leaders of Ebonheart RP is glad to represent our second big summer event! This time, as one might already have guessed, we're getting attacked by the fierce Ashlanders of Morrowind! This event is mostly a freeform RP event, wherein the choices and dealings done by the roleplayers, either through Diplomacy or Fighting (and success or failures of those!), will determine the ending of this week long event.

Just like last time, the community leaders will stand around in Ebonheart the city and act as mission givers each day. Details about the missions can be given both ICly by the mission giver, as well as OOCly here on this very thread, which will be updated every day under the event, to show the progress of the Pact forces, or its losses! This can be seen in the form of the map above, as well as the daily reports below this post.

eso_morrowind_ashlander_invasion_event_mission_map_zpsatbuk53r.jpg

Frontline Fighters: Brynwulf & Blood-On-His-Scales
None shall shed Pact blood upon Ebonheart soil, and the renowned Captain Brynwulf Mer-Bane, Dragon of Eastmarch, is therefore looking for capable warriors that can stand their ground, and repel the Ashlander Invaders!

Espionage: Nighren (Night Dreadheart)
Events rarely unfold without a reason, which is why the infamous Nighren is looking for capable scouts, thieves and assassins, who do not fear wandering through the shadows in search for the truth.

Diplomacy: Travyth Indarys
Blood is but futile, which is why Travyth Indarys, representative from Great House Indoril, seeks capable diplomats, smoothtalkers and emissarys who dares attempt to find a peaceful resolution between the Ashlanders and the Ebonheart Pact.

Sabotage: Ulrich Demavand
Depending on the intel gathered from the Espionage Team, Mage's Guild expert Ulrich will move out with the Sabotage team in order to secure an easier victory for the rest of the Pact Forces.

The event begins at July 19th and lasts to July 24th (Tuesday to Sunday week. 29) Missions will be available everyday between 7pm BST (20:00 CET) to 11pm BST (24:00 CET). The Ashlander clans will not move before or after these times, so we can have a better flow of the RP, and ensure none solo's the entire Ashlander Invasion while everyone else is offline.

As mentioned, this event is mostly done through a freeform roleplay. This means that the NPC's you'll be fighting will mostly be air, and just emoted by the mission giver. However, when a mission giver has emoted an enemy, it is you who now control the outcome of your own attacks against the enemy, as there are no dice rolls included. However, enemies NPC'ed by fellow roleplayers will be able to evade and strike at their own leisure.

This event is open to everyone, but we ask every player to play realisticly, both to their characters and the general world of the Elder Scrolls. Faction neutral character from other factions such as Daggerfall Covenant and Aldmeri Dominion are fully welcome to come and take a part in our event as well.

We hope to see many of you here for our second big summer event. Remember, most of the story to this event and plot has yet to be revealed, as it will be up to you, the players, to undercover the mystery behind this strange Ashlander Invasion, and ofcourse repel the invaders from our beloved Pact land!

Report of Day 1: Perish the Ash!

The Ashlanders assaulted the very gates of Ebonheart! Swarming in from all sides as the pests they're! The proud heroes of the pact valiantly defended the great city from these savage warriors. The city sustained great damage, with an explotion by the center square, and the eastern bridge falling. Several of the Argonian Huts and the Storage by the Docks were all lit aflame, yet luckily cleansed by the mighty forces of the Pact! The savages even dared raid the armory to the south of the walls!

Reports say that the assault consisted of at least three different clans, The Ulath, Mabrigash and Vereansu, all revealed by notes found upon the dead and their clan banners. Several Ashlanders fled to the east and west of the city after the Ebonheart Pact forces retaliated. An Ashlander Shaman was captured, and is currently being "interrogated". Even more disturbingly, the Shaman herself was found preparing a ritual with the Hist Tree, yet luckily the Pact forces stopped her foul spellwork.

The reason for the assault remains a mystery, but scouts report the following cities to be under seige: Senie, Othrenis, Muth Gnaar, Narsis and Hrogar' Village! The Pact cannot allow this to continue, and will retaliate with fierce force!

    - General Holgunn

Report of Day 2: The Discovery

The Ashlanders made attempts to demolish the shrine to Vivec, however were stopped by the Pact soldiers and Heroes before any true damage could've been done, from that point. The Heroes alongside the Pact soldiers continued to make their way toward the former Pact beach camp that the Ashlanders had taken over during their initial assault on Ebonheart, in an attempt to regain more ground for the Pact. The soldiers were deployed to reclaim it for the Pact banner, aswell as secure the supplies and rumored, captive soldiers held there.

Unfortunately. The assault failed. The element of surprise that would've turned the battle to the Pact favor was given away by the Argonian Teelus-Jei, whom charged into the fray at the suggestion of one of the Heroes that a destraction should be thought of. Alas. That destraction could never truly be debated due to the this action. The charge give away the heroes and Soldier's position, and the battle soon took a turn for the worse. While the Ashlanders could be distracted long enough to secure most of the captive prisoners and get them to safety. The Pact caches, aswell as the camp were left in Ashlander hands, unable to overcome the Ashlander's sheer numbers, the Pact by the help of the Altmer mage; Solinar. Retreated back to Ebonheart's safety.

Teelus-Jei has been reported to the High command on account of insubordination, and endanger Pact personal, ultimately resulting in mission failure and the cost of Pact soldier's lives.

The stealth operation to the Western Stonefalls saw a success in acurring much needed intel about the Ashlanders. The Kagesh warriors managed to spot the intruders admist their ranks, yet not before the operatives could disappear with maps, ledgers and notes of interest.

A scout was later discovered slain upon the road north of Kragenmoor, this scout was seen holding a totem, that was later stolen from him by a masked Khajiit. This totem appears to resemble a strange undead figure, ornamented with bones and red paint. The operatives had to seek refugee within an old abandoned mine, that later was discovered to be an old Ashlander burial ground known as "The Cave of Memories".

The notes stolen from the Kagesh battle encampments claim that the Cave of Memories was sacked by the Dres, to the despair of Clan Ulath. While no members of the clan was to be seen within the burial ground, the Operatives was assaulted by a strange spirit that sought to possess them. Luckily the Operatives mananged to fend off the vile creations, and saw to its capture within the Totems.

The notes and the battleplans are clear, The Ashlanders has just begun their Assault. While the Mabrigash tend to supplies, the Kagesh and the Veraensu tends to the warfare, whilst Ulath... Is preparing a ritual at the great Dunmer Necropolis of Othrenis...?

The Pact must act cunningly tomorrow, if they're to regain their lost ground, and stop whatever foul ritual the Ulath is currently preparing.

    - Brynwulf Mer-Bane & Nighren

Report of Day 3: Death to the Velothi!

The forces of the Pact answered to the troublesome report of a ritual being executed by the Ashlander tribes within Deshaan, having defiled the monestary that the pact had made attempts at rebuilding after an plague incident had destroyed it months prior. Upon the Pact's arrival to cleanse the area. It would appear that the report told little lies. The Pact's former soldiers and workers established on the site had turned into sickly remnants of their former selves. Poisoned and turned into a zombified state of mind. With great regret. The heroes and Pact soldiers had little choice but to cut them down for the greater good.

During the Pact attempt to cleanse the area though, they stumbled upon a horrifying ritual site. Bones and runes littered the ground in full, candles and braziers burned with oddly colored flames. It was at this point that the heroes and Pact personal found themselves however ambushed by Ashlander warriors, whom had hidden from the Pact forces and set up an ambush to overwhelm then. Luckily for us. Our soldiers and heroes are not so easily defeated and the Ashlanders were swiftly disposed of.

Continueing the investigation and cleansing of the area. The ritual within the nearby manor and former home of the monastery priests. Was brought to a halt, atleast to a degree. While the ritual was still performed to an extend. The bone collosus that spawned forth from it proved to be in a weakened state, due to the ritual. Not having been completed to its full potential. After a long battle. The Pact proved itself victorious against the Ashlander forces and schemes. Which if when the Farseer had to be believed. Were likely linked to Mehrunes Dagon. Perhaps the Ashlanders had switched sides?.. Whatever it would be. It likely will mean trouble in the days to come.

The Operatives that sought to the Espionage saw a mixed reaction to their efforts tonight. No new intel was gathered at all, leaving the Pact forces to rely on the intel gathered from the Kagesh Encampment. The night however, was not worthless for the Operatives. When they first arrived, they laid witnesses to two massive pyras of Ashlander totems, several slaves of Pact origin.. and the entire Ulath Warband, consisting of hundreds of Ashlanders.

The team saw fit not to be suicidal, and thus managed to cleanse the pyras, of which the Ulath Shamans within the Necropolis seemingly drew their power from. Without intel, the team cannot claim what they truly have stopped by preventing the ritual, yet they trust it was something of importance.

As the Operatives attempted to flee the Necropolis known as Othrenis, they were chased by Ashlander soldiers, of whose numbers were too great to face headon.. Luckily, the small team managed to seek their escape up through the volcanos of Stonefalls. From what little is known, the disruption of the Ulath ritual caused the dead of the Necropolis to rise again. The last the Operatives laid witness too, was the Ulath's Ashlander forces fierce retaliation against the living dead. The victor of the battle has yet to be determin as the time of this report.

The pact captives within the Necropolis is presumed to be dead, following the events of the disruption of the ritual.

    - Brynwulf Mer-Bane & Nighren

Report of Day 4: Strange things

After the strange realization that Ashlanders cooperated with Daedra in their attempt of taking Ebonheart, an investigation party was gathered to look into the matter of stopping Daedra from aiding the Ashlanders. Composed of mercenaries, an alchemist, mages, and various other backgrounds, the party started by interrogating a prisoner captured from the initial assault onto Ebonheart.

Whilst hard to crack initially, the Shaman prisoner ended up losing a hand before fingers could be cut off, much to the detriment of the party. Indeed, healing such a gaping wound so that the interrogation could continue took some precious time.

The party learnt almost too late that a sacrifice ritual was under way on top of the volcano to the East of Ebonheart. The heroes immediately rode for the summit, and there encountered a massive ritual still underway. Ashlanders sent sacrifice after sacrifice to their newlyfound daedric god: Merhunes Dagon. In the name of Destruction, Ashlanders sacrificed many, almost including one of their own, who was saved at the last moment by a reckless charge from the Orc Borkhul. Yet, the group managed to capitalize on the opportunity and pushed the group of ritualists all the way to the cliff. Preferring to die rather than be captured, the last two plunged to their deaths, leaving the four prisoners left to be sacrificed, free.

After interrogating the former Ashlander Rinas who was saved from the sacrificial pit, the group gathered Ashlanders were to hold a meeting in Senie. They also found out that Ashlanders are sacrificing with the goal of accomplishing a "Great Summoning". The conjuration of a creature, simply called "Lord".

Later on, a few Mage's guild members contributed in researching the matter, and narrowed a few locations and creatures that could be summoned. One thing is sure, there is danger at the corner, and it's up to tomorrow's heroes to put a stop to it.

The Espionage team sought through the lands of Stonefalls and Deshaan in search of the Mabrigash clan. Upon arrival to the heartland of Morrowind, the operatives laid witness to the bloodshed that had befalled beyond the gates of the Holy City of Mournhoid itself! It had been a slaughter, one that the Ordinators have not lost.

The Operatives made their way to the west of the holy city, from where they saw few scout patrols of the Ashlanders. These scouts were succesfully Incapacitated by the Operatives. With swift and cunning planning, the Operatives saw fit to disguise one of their own as the Ashlanders tribesmember, and another as a Ebonheart Pact captive, while the rest hid amongst the shadows and infiltrated the Mabrigash' camp from behind, to steal intel from their tents.

The Operatives were succesful in this task. Notes of great intel that claims Dres involvement was found, and the Pact will now investigate this matter on their own hand. The intel from both the Mabrigash and the Kagesh mentions the name of "Nesarith Dres", whom few know as high slaver amongst the Great House.

From what the Operatives gathered, there has been distrust amongst the Ashlander clans. The clan known as Vereansu appears to have betrayed their fellow Ashlander clans, which made The Mabrigash Wise-Woman herself summon a deity of (un?)holy powers.. "The Ghost Snake of the Vale" is the words the Operatives used to describe the deity. This "Ghost Snake" knew much, even the position of the Operatives. With their secret unravelled, the Mabrigash Wise-Woman succesfully arranged a peace treaty between the Mabrigash, Ulath, Kagesh and the Ebonheart Pact.

The Pact forces are to meet with the three Ashlander clans tomorrow, 23th of Sun's Height, at the old Velothi temples known as "Brothers of Strife". Travyth Indarys of Great House Indoril suggest to keep this report hidden from the preying eyes of Great House Dres, until the matter has been resolved peacefully.

    - Blood-on-his-Scales & Nighren

Report of Day 5: Flames on the skies of treaty

After narrowing down the possible locations of a Great Summoning, a group was assembled to stop it from taking place. The group travelled through Senie to reach a cavern sanctified by Daedra long ago, and successfully infilitrated the cavern without initially raising the alarm.

However, once at the main entrance, the party faced a well prepared defense, with multiple archers blocking them from progress. Yet the party managed to pierce through, with a heroic shield push from Hun, Sarosis, Ulrich and Ildits. Once through the main room, the group was overwhelmingly outnumbered, facing more than thirty assailants.

The group hardly held on and could not manage to interrupt the summoning. And soon, the huge Ash Titan known as "Lord" emerged from the portal, and immediately wrecked havoc against friends and foes alike. In the confusion, all inside the cavern attempted to flee, but quickly, the heroes realized the Titan is to dangerous to be let out. Yet, it managed to dig a hole through the ceiling, and after freshly being set ablaze by a collective effort, it eventually flew out, taking along the poor Erandar who was still perched on top of the beast.

All of Stonefalls witnessed as the gigantic figure flew in an arc towards the sea North-West of Davon's watch, crashing into the water like a meteorite.

The remaining members caught up with it, Theidrii, Saunters, Siv, Talion, Erandar, and Ulrich, faced the gigantic beast once again. Already injured, the heroes fought valliantly on the beach, poking its eyes, cutting its tail, and finally ended its life with an arrow through the skull. The heroes could now rest easy, and the Ashlanders' efforts to work with the Daedra were significantly hampered.

Several fine Diplomats, few of which whom acted as Operatives upon the latest Espionage Missions, saw fit to find themselves with Travyth Indarys's diplomatic mission. The brave heroes travelled to the Temple of Strife, which the Ashlander clans of Mabrigash, Kagesh and Ulath utilized for their endouvers. The Heroes was greated with hostilty, yet after removal of their weaponry, they were allowed to pass through the ancient Velothi temples.

The entire warband of the Mabrigash, Kagesh and Ulath had gathered their forces for this talk, most likely in fear of intrusion or betrayal one would have to assume. The Heroes managed to speak, and calmly talk their way through the two Ashkhans, and the Mabrigash Wise-Woman. The Ulath Ashkhan appeared violent at first, yet he were the first to offer a peaceful treaty, to save his people. The Kagesh Ashkhan on the other hand, sought to spit the Heroes with vile words and threats, all whilst the Mabrigash Wise-Woman, saw fit to keep the Ashlanders in line admist their heated chatter.

The talk went on for long, yet admist the hate, despair, fear and angrish, the Ashlander tribes of the Mabrigash, Kagesh and Ulath, came to an agreement with the Ebonheart Heroes for the following deal:
    - The Ebonheart Pact will be at peace with the Ashlander Clans of Mabrigash, Kagesh and Ulath.
    - No people amongst either Ashlander, or the Ebonheart Pact, may desecrate and/or disturb each others villages, encampments, cities, burial grounds, shrines and ground.
    - Nesarith Dres, who is assumed to be the culprit from within Great House Dres, will be chased down and confronted on the following Dusk, by both Clan Kagesh, Clan Ulath and The Ebonheart Heroes.

The Ashlander clan Vereansu has not been involved in the diplomatic meeting, as they're proclaimed to be traitors against the beliefs of their good daedra gods. The three Ashlander clans of the Mabrigash, Kagesh and Ulath will not disturb, or interrupt the Ebonheart Pact's enforcement of the Vereansu tribe.

The Diplomatic meeting was a success, one that will be secured tomorrow, shall the great heroes succeed in their efforts against this rogue faction within House Dres. The Grandmaster of House Dres has allowed the sanction of Nesarith Dres and his rogue followers, after approbiate evidence was revealed.

Report of Day 6: Blood for the Ashlands!

<The first big chunk of the daily report appears to be torn off the ledger.>

The operatives, accompanied by the Ashlander forces of the Ulath and Kagesh, made their way towards the velothi temples at the Shrine of Veloth. Here they found several Dres uniformed men and women, that was trying to desecrate the shrines within the temples. The Operatives was stopped by a guardsmen, who was asked to stand aside. The heroes however, was in no mood to linger, nor was the Ashlander forces, as the Kagesh Ashkhan brutally attacked the Guardsmen, and the rest of the Ashlander forces, invaded the Shrine of Veloth with the Ebonheart Heroes shortly in tail.

The heroes and the Ashlanders was informed that the Dres culprit known as Nesarith was within the crypts of the Temple, and with little time on their hands, the Ebonheart heroes saw to the culprit himself, whilst the Ashlander forces took care of the rogue Dres. Within the crypts, they found an Elderly man that claimed that he was not this "Nesarith Dres" and that he infact, was but a servant of him. The Ashkhan of the Kagesh, angered by the possibility of lies, saw herself summoning the spirits of all, all of whom pointed their fingers at the Dunmer. In the fit of anger, the Ashlander Ashkhan executed the supposed Culprit, sealing the agreement between the Mabrigash, Ulath, Kagesh and the Ebonheart Pact in blood.

The Ashlander forces outside, had in the mean time slaughtered the remaining Dres, leaving nothing alive. The Heroes was granted free passage out of the Shrines of Veloth, and told to never come again, to which the Heroes willingly obliged.

Returning back home, the heroes was met with salute and honorful commotion by the citizens of Ebonheart, all races in peace. The Ashlander Invasion had been stopped by the brave acts of heroism, not only with bloodshed, yet so too, diplomacy. The Ashlander clans of Mabrigash, Kagesh and Ulath has all gone their seperate ways in treaty with the Pact, whilst the Veraensu's foul spellwork, in their attempt to summon the army of Mehrunes Dagon has been stopped, and so too, has the Veraensu Ashkhan been slain, leaving their clan in bloody mess.

The Heroes of the Pact has all been granded their medals of honor, for their dutiful service in the Ebonheart Pact. Now, time for a feast! This report can wait for a little while longer..
