Several suggestions to improve Eso on Xbox one

Hello there,

There doesn't seem to be a suggestion forum, so I guess this is the most fitting place to post this.

Eso on Xbox one currently doesn't feel like an mmo, due to several "problems' or things that we do not have, that you can get on the pc version.

Here are some suggestions that I would like to see ingame.

1) Buff/Debuff timer or Dot timer.
Reason: This way we could actually see our buffs and debuffs instead of having to count it out.
On the pc this is either visible or obtainable by addons.

2) at least a global LFG or trade chat.
Reason: It is extremely hard to trade currently with the voice chat only being available.

3) A localized auction house:
Reason: This would be extremely benefitial for the server economics.
Items would become more available, while the prices for common items will drop and the prices for rare items will rise.
There will be more sellers, and there will be more buyers.

Take my personal situation for example:
I had to join some random guild just to get access to the trader.
And I personally never buy an item from another player, simply because I have to travel to each and every guild trader and hope that the item I want is on there.

theresult is simply that a guild has a worthless member. (I only use the guild to get access to the trader)
And that a lot of people have less buyers.

There was mentioned that people where afraid of gold farmers and/or people playing the markets.
I don't think that that would be a big issue on console's at all, and besides. currently we don't have single gold farmers to deal with, but entire guilds having a monopoly because they've managed to obtain a good guild trader.

4) DLC's available in the XBox store.
Reason: Why would I first need to buy crowns, and then buy DLC's ingame. that would often result in excessive crowns, which I'll never use and thus ends up costing more than necessary.
(Possible season pass. I think you would get a lot more sales if a season pass was available at a decent price, which you could raise with every new expansion.
For example, currently the 4 DLC's for xbox cost 9500 crowns= €68,97 (Reason being: You need to buy the 5500 crown, 3000 crown and 1500 crown pack to have enough crowns to buy them all.)
While you could easily put that on a season pass for let's say €50-€55 range. which you'll raise when a new expansion comes out for new buyers.
A €50-€ 55 range would be a fair deal imo, because people buy multiple expansions than, instead of just 1 or 2 of them. and you get a fair enough discount over just buying seperate expansions.

This sounds counterintuitive, but it will work better than your current setup, as it is more convincing to buy a season pass with percieved discount, rather than having to buy an excess of crowns to buy the dlc's ingame.
I for one do not plan on buying any expansion until they become available in the xbox store instead of having to buy more crowns.

5) Customizable Floating combat text
Reason: THat way you can more accurately see what effects that you gain/lose. and gives in general more situational awareness of what's going on.

6) Option to turn on a mini map
Reason: Why do I need to open a full map when a mini map in a corner (for example right top corner) would be much nicer to have?

I'm sure that not everyone agrees with the above, but I think that it would be very beneficial. especially seeing that the console version is just a shadow of the pc version. (especially since they have addons.)

    1) Buff/Debuff timer or Dot timer.
I agree these really do need to be the next top priority for consoles.

    2) at least a global LFG or trade chat.
Text chat is coming with the next DLC release.

    3) A localized auction house:
Hell nah traveling around Tamriel getting to know the best trader locations is fun and unique compared to other MMO's.

    4) DLC's available in the XBox store.
You could just become a ESO Plus member for several months and complete the DLC's you know. They also mentioned that DLC discounted bundles are on the way.

    5) Customizable Floating combat text
Many floating text you can turn off and really do not need on, Healing done/recieved, damage ticks and overall damage are really the only important ones.

    6) Option to turn on a mini map
The compass removes the need for a mini-map and offers a more cleaner UI approach whilst still offering the same as what a mini-map would do.

You do know this list of ideas has been discussed and answered on several occasions even mentioning when said features are coming, all you need to do is tune into ESO Live...

Eso plus is currently bugged for consoles as far as I know. seeing that no crowns get rewarded.

As far as I see there is only one option on the consols: Turn on or off.
and that's only the damage /healing done by yourself. not for teammates or more importantly: effects.

To be honest, I did not know that there was something as "Eso live". never received any information or promotion email for that, while I am registered to the mailing list.

Also eso live is kinda silly, if they do not have the mainpoints available in text.
And I do not see any easily visible post about upcoming changes.

Not everybody wants to watch through episodes apparently between 40 minutes and 1hour 45 minutes (from a quick glance at the youtube eso live playlist)

There really isn't much point to them anymore. Mostly they are just a commercial for the upcoming dlc. Or things with no eta.

    1. This has already been suggested. Multiple times.
    2. Text chat is coming this August.
    3. Plenty of threads about Auction Houses already. Not gonna happen though as Zenimax stands behind Guild Traders.
    4. You're welcome to spend any excess crowns on additional Crown Store items once all DLCs have been purchased.
    5. Refer to #2.
    6. This too has been requested but not as much as #1.
