Any tested Sorc rotation w/o pulse and frag proc... Crystal blast?

From what I see the fairly standard rotation is
Potion > Curse > Liquid Lightning > LA > Elemental Blockade > LA > Force Pulse > LA > Crystal Frag (when it procs) ..... and repeat.
Has anyone done actual test to see if replacing force pulse and frag proc with Crystal Blast grants higher dps? I am interested in seeing if some has actually done a test with hard quantifiable results
I love the concept of crystal blast. Knock down, long range, and it's AOE

Try using crystal fragments morph instead. Every spell cast has a 35% chance to proc a more powerful and almost free single target crystal fragments attack.
You'll hear a little sound when the effect triggers, and your hands will glow. Then you cast the frags ability with no cast time, cost, and extra damage. Use that in your rotation every time it trigfers, don't hard-cast it. Your DPS will improve.

I'm a returning player. I will be starting back in the next few days. But yes I was hoping for serious replies that are backed up by hard data. No offense to the people who did reply with fluff, but I did expect a lot of these trivial responses. Back when I did originally play I could get blast to hit with crits for 22-24k in pve. iirc. And I didn't minmax. So it would be extremely interesting and even be helpful to the community to see some math or graphs showing the validity of the skill in a standard rotation or even an heavily altered rotation. Or even in niche scenarios.
I don't think it is overly helpful to the community to advance towards the future on assumed conventions that may be fully incorrect or partially incorrect. That is why I'd be interested in a deep dive into analysis on cb

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if there is a program or spread sheet I can use that will allow me to analyze cast rotations?

zerosingularity✭✭✭✭Simple answer is that Crystal Blast, due to the lower damage and cast time, is vastly inferior to LA-Force Pulse-C. Frags. It may have a use in certain PvP builds, but in PvE, it has been tested to be vastly inferior, almost entirely due to the cast time.
The AoE aspect isn't worth mentioning in PvE due to Wall of Elements and Liquid Lightning, and of course Pulsar, all of which are vastly superior in damage output because again, the cast time of C. Blast is too long.
Could always go fight a Mammoth in Wrothgar or Bloodspawn and test for yourself, just to be certain.NA-PC

Most people use the DPS tracking built into the 'FTC' user interface mod for the PC. You use it to test a setup, and it reports DPS, and breaks it down damage by ability based on parsing the combat log.
