Is hurricane the go to morph for lightning form?

Stamina Sorcs complained forever about not having any useful stamina class skills, ZOS finally answered by giving us a skill that's actually useful and you want to complain? Mag Sorcs have an entire class of skills to choose from, Stamina Sorcs hardly anything... so it's only fair that Stam Sorcs get a class boon for a change.

So what do you guys use? I never got to do a stamina sorc so I am curious; I know of weapon skills but do you use many magic abilities as a sorc?

Wrong. Put on Hurricane, then Liguid Lighning, and then spam Elemental Ring, and anything near you dies within 2 seconds of exposure to all three. On top of that if you buff damage its even faster. Takes out mobs real fast.

Just go into a mob and move so you don't get knocked down, and bam... mob be gone quick. Of course on larger foe, this method will not work as fast.

If you wanted to, you could even add Elemental Wall... but I found those three work just fine. Using Lightning as my element btw.

I already have magicka sorcerer with all those offensive spells and it's quite versatile.
Now I created another sorcerer based on stamina in 5 pcs. Hundings Rage medium armor and 2 pcs. Night Mother Gaze heavy, with Dual Wield and 2H - it's quite interesting build during tests

First it has mundus stone for extra health (I'll change it later for one that adds stamina, once I unlock Dark Exchange) which I combined with Unstable Familiar->Clanfear for instant 35% heal and to have a tank pet.
On both bars also Bound Armor morph Bound Armaments from the same Daedric Summing skill line (•The armor also increases your damage with Heavy Attacks by 11% and increases your Max Stamina by 5%.).
Soon wil unlock Dark Echange from Dark Magic skill line, for extra healing and resource (stamina based).
Also a must have Hurricane, really a great aoe skill. And adds weapon attack speed which is cool effect on 2H. I'm going to combine it with Whirlwind from Dual Wield and Hidden Blade - Shrouded Daggers which also is very powerful and I love it. As an opening skills and for groups of melee mobs, usually they are dead before they reach me.
On 2H I'll go with Critical Charge morph Critical Rush and Momentum morph Rally.
CP400 so far, so there is a nice pool of extra physical and poison damage and resources.
I think such stamina sorcerer will be doing good in pve

Do you play a Stamina Sorc? The current combination is Hurricane with Crit Surge and Steel Tornado thrown in for good measure. Hurricane and Crit Surge work perfectly together, so any time I deal with mobs it is my go-to combination.

I have a Stam/Sorc and yes it is decent with tornado thrown in, but as a whole I would still prefer not to use Hurricane period.

So just because you don't like a skill and don't want to use it therefore it's "terribad on MOST sorc;s even on stam sorcs"?!? Perhaps you should speak more about it's actual performance. People come here asking questions about it's usefulness, not whether players dislike it simply because they prefer not to use it because of animation or other personal reasons.

i mainly play PvE with my sorc;
i find it useful, most of my DPS is ranged, however for those times when i need to get up close & personal with the mobs im killing, i activate lightning form, proxy det, liquid lightning to turn myself into an aoe,

it has its uses in PvP too, I havent taken my sorc in for a while, so im sure someone else could comment on that

If you're magicka-based, the amount of damage you'll be doing will be ridiculously low. And if you're a hybrid stamina/magicka character, you're doing it wrong (just stating it as it is, hybrid builds are a no-go in this game). So yes, hurricane should be restricted to stamina-based sorc builds.

disintegrate now also procs on physical damage (they changed it for that) so on a stam sorc hurricane works just fine

Are you seriously trying to explain to me that a stam skill, which scales from weapon damage, stamina and mighty, is in any way useful for a magicka sorc which stacks elemental expert, magicka and spell damage? When it has the same skill available as magicka version minus the execute element plus more speed?
And you even argue with silly mobs that die instantly no matter what?
