Just a reminder to players so that they keep asking for this. I do not want the same big disappointment on this system as what happened to other part of Justice system which was the better part of it in my opinion.

I would just want to see more traditional TES magicka in the game instead of the class skills that are not familiar to me from other games.

    I'd rather they didn't add it until they figure out they need to balance PvP and PvE separately.

    Adding spellcrafting and improving game balance are not mutually exclusive, as many seem to believe. One of the more notable examples of a new skill promoting class/build diversity is the addition of Vigor (in patch 1.6).

    I agree, they should work on a system like in many other games have where some ro all abilities and åpassives etch have different effect on PVP and PVE, too many times i have found out in too many games that usually PVE has gone boring due PVP nalancing and also at times, other way around.

    And no, it is not scrapped, it has just been stated that it will not happen this year. Some datamining folks have digged up pretty working system allready though thats just datamining. It would be extremely sad to see the whole thing scrapped in that phase. If memory server, ZOS also showed some vids about it in gamecon or somesuch happening.

    I would really love to see new skills (spells), more variable builds and so on. but yes, the guy who was originally assigned to spellcrafting has left ZOS, so no idea it is still on the table or not anymore

    It is but they are waiting for the right time to implement it.

    The original concept placed it after completing the mages guild quest line, so it's likely a complete overhaul from the original design. But poison-making is pretty much stamina spellcrafting so I'd expect more than a few similarities in the systems.

    Spell crafting is just begging to be exploited. Its the sort of thing that works great in single player games, but this isn't a single player game, its an mmo.

    Not only this, but the idea that there was "just one guy" working on spellcrafting is pretty absurd. Companies don't do this because, well, people change jobs all the time, or get hit buy buses or any number of other things.

    I think spell-crafting could be good for this game, I worry about its implementation. It would be nice if we could eventually get away from the constant rebalancing of everything almost every patch, and I see spellcrafting as something that will bring us another 2-year rebalancing fiasco.

    No, but the dev who was leading spellcrafting on it did leave. It got "put on tha back burner" with the ESO Unlimited release.

    Also, ESO isn't free to play, not sure where you got that idea.

    But, yeah, we do kinda need spellcrafting.

    honestly would like to see jewellery crafting and upgrading first.

    I think that would take much less effort and cause many less 'issues' than a spellcrafting system would - Which, given the exploits and possibilities(unbalances?) we already see with CURRENT skills, would be a nightmare to 'fix' and balance.

    If I remember correctly, it was originally planned as another horrible grind. You had to find parts of spell stones (or something like that) before you could craft a single spell. There was also some other stupid thing where the first style of spell you learned (fire, destruction, shock, etc.) determined the kind of spell caster you could be. So you had to plan wisely. Once again, more over-thinking for something that should be relatively simple.

    Pretty much how it should be, it is spellcrafting for mages that seek knownleddge etc, Not something for simple blacksmiths or tailors :pensive:
    Honestly i loved the idea that i really have to go abd adventure all around Tamriel to find runes for spells to craft, it should npt be something you can do as easily as other craftt as you are literally creating spell, not a simple enchgantment or something lie that. If people dont want to Travel, they can buy these from guild store.

    This has been the system I have wanted in this game the most.I feel it needs it since we pretty much are missing many magic types.

    I think adding more skills that are not locked behind a class would go a long way towards balance and I really want some new skills.

    Jewelcrafting needs to come soon.... I don't get why it wasn't part of enchanting to begin with....
