I have brought this up in the past but thought a year later, why not ask again?!? Just about every other MMO has some sort of recruit program and I think it is odd we haven't seen one here yet. I think it would be really encouraging to have a program in place to reward crowns or unique vanity items to players who recruit others and get them to subscribe for X months, etc.

    I'm not familiar with such things outside of free to play games, and it usually comes with forums and review comments spammed with "use my code".

    I have a number of IRL friends that are TES nerds that were turned off by buggy betas or bad reviews at launch. If there was some sort of discount or bonus for recruiting them I might actually be able to get them to buy the game and try it out for real.

    Interesting idea OP. However, I don't think ESO is struggling enough to even need this.
    There are plenty of incentives for new people already. Not to mention that Tamriel One is around the corner so all friends can play any content together, regardless of level. That in itself is a nice gesture to play.

    ESO can't do all the work in convincing your friends! :p

    I imagine all they need to do is hold a deep discount sale on Steam, somewhere around $4.99 to 7.49 or so. Lots of people would buy multiple copies and gift them to their friends on Steam.

    Once they start playing and get into the game, they will eventually want to try the DLC, race change, name change, crafting bags, etc.

    Polls that ask players whether they would want a specific feature always end up the same, of course people would want more stuff that would cause no harm and do only good.

    Anyway, it would be a good addition to people with friends.

    Not untill they fix the game. It is a fun game but I can't recomemd a buggy messy game that is full priced and have almost EVERYTHING in the real money shop to anyone.

    Yeah, it's easy on PS4 for example to create fake accounts and not having to buy the game as long as you bought it once and you can do that for an unlimited amount of accounts, that's what some people are doing to unlock personal guild banks.

    I had a friend ask me if he should buy ESO and I told him not to, partly due to the poor state the game is in.

    Glad I am on PC, for me the game runs perfect, better than most of the games I play. So far I only encountered one bug and that was my wings got stuck on, on my dragonknight.

    Yes my friend needs a PS4 though. I showed him RPGs for the first time and he's been missing out heavy because he loves them
