I tried that sanctum one the other week. I pho almost exclusively so have never done any dungeons as such, apart form looking for skywards or the main story quests.
I'll never go into another dungeon after that experience, it was awful. I've been in high pressure scenarios a lot in Cyrodil. I get it, that everyone has to do their job etc, but the sanctum was way worse. Never felt more unwelcome in my life. I said upfront that I have no experience and that I can add dos and follow the orders. However, I ended up getting kikcked for zip, basically just before the last boss was killed,my they kicked me for no reason than the fact that they could. I was told to do this or that and I asked where this or that was. And then kicked.
Never again, just not worth the trouble tbh.
Even my new guild mates were trying to talk me into one. But that first experience has put me off for good.
I would never treat anyone new to Cryodil like that, I often help out new people, give them advice and basically have them tag along in a group with me till they get more cmfortable.
Anyway, just my 2 cents on dungeons.

I don't really know what you mean by "tanky healer", but I can assure you in end-game PvE most groups want a healer that can heal AND buff AND add some dps. Tanking is not very high on the priority list of healersSure you can tank and heal at the same time so that the group can have 3 DDs and rush through the dungeon, but that really only works for the old veteran dungeons. In vWGT and vICP it's easier to find healerless groups (thanks to Vigor and Sap Sap Sap) than tankless ones.
I hear so many "horror stories" about people being kicked, nasty players etc. Plus I don't know how well I'd do in any dungeon. I think I'm probably comparatively bad. But I'm missing out

Here my yesterdays example of elitist behaviour:
Random normal dungeon queue found a group - I was CP400+ (Terach), the other 2 players ~CP200+, and one was lvl36.
Before I managed to enter dungeon, I saw the "lvl36" player on the Group list of names, but once I entered area I realised he was kicked by leader. Then after new queue was found a new player but also around lvl~40, and also he was voted by leader for kick. I refused and asked for reason and response was "low level".
We end up in this group with pretty nice fights without problems, so I personally don't understand why such players behave in that harsh way.
I also felt some contempt from leader, in calling the non-CP player "low level" instead of naming him/her, or to "keep up" later. This random was made in quietness and cold atmosphere and tbh I put the leader to my black list, because I also have 2 alts non-CP yet and would not like to be kicked due to this.
I hope ZOS will finally find good solution for the problem. Low level must not be a reason for kick from normal dungeon.
I agree, if everyone are scaled to leader's lvl, there is no reason to show the real level of other players on Group tab. Simple solution for big problem.RAGUNAnoOne wrote: »Perhaps have everyones level show as CP 160 in all menues if you use the group tool nomore no less.

But after reading, and seeing the replies, its more than that I think. Its that you 'REFUSE' to learn (ASK FFS, JUST ASK if you do not know something) and are 'that guy' whos 'DPS' but only does light arrow attacks (And don't move, resulting in death, and ignores res's and waits for boss to die) or that tank who has 12k hp and thinks that because hes holding a shield mobs should just attack him without him doing a thing, or the healer that believes spamming sap essence is 'healing' (Yet hes off behind the boss)
Truth is, of the others I've read here, i would be utterly shocked to really see you get 'booted' or refused a run (In all but the WGT/ICP dungeons, MAYBE COA vet)because ANY of them can be carried by ONE DECENT guy(Of any of the 3 roles) with 3 'noobs'
so, sorry, your 'fears' are utterly unwarranted. U want to run a dungeon, and want to learn it, say so. At least then you can find a group BEFORE you get into a dungeon. LEarn about common sense things like food, potions, what 'mechanics' to watch for, etc.
Its been proven many times already, that most ANY of the 'old' vet dungeons can be done with NOTHING ELSE than light attacks from the dps, and 1 button each for healers and tanks(the tank uses his taunt only, healer uses 1 heal only)
So if 'that' can be done, I'm SURE your fine.
(Again we are talking 'getting the job done, and learning it' not running it in world record breaking speed with no flaws)

LOL oh please, go on and insult my grammar (Like it changes the point I was making- and sure, call me what ever you trolls and facebook idiots want on forums, I don't care. What I DO care about is being in game and knowing the difference between a 'newb' who I LOVE meeting and are ALWAYS willing to learn, adapt, and evolve(And able to use their own experiences to further the process of growing) and a n00b who will be just as I stated above, REFUSE to learn ANYTHING, expect to be carried though, faceplant at bosses and refuse reses, who stand in red spots or actually 'run' to the healer when targeted by aoes, etc.
Trust me, in that situation, I'M not the jerk. And I am pretty dammed sure most of you know who the type are I'm talking about (IE, not necessarily the OP of this thread, who I think just had a bad string of experiences) but many of the other posters are sounding like the type that 'expect' the other 3 to haul their dead weight though vet runs just because they did the great favor of gracing us (the other 3) with their magnificent presence.
Also, Forum hate is only another form of fame, and I am happy to accept it(Those who meet me in game can make their own judgments about me.)

I'll get back to my normal grinding self eventually.

I actually have a disability in my left arm which means I'm not very quick on the buttons either. I never thought about it but it might be one of the reasons I'm fearful. If I'm yelled at for being slow then it's not something I can control and just highlights (to me) a restriction I have. I still give it my all but I'm definitely holding myself back as far as that particular fear goes. If that makes sense!
@AtmaDarkwolf I have only done the very first dungeon for the Undaunted and ran it 3 or 4 times. I usually carry the others but don't mind it. I feel I'm helping them experience it. My fears come from what others have experienced, disabilities I have that make me physically slower to react (but not so slow that I'm a sloth gamer - I do moderately well in PvP) - and just anxiety, shyness etc. There's loads of reasons but I'm definitely someone who gives it my all and tries to help as much as I'm able.
ESO has been my first MMO and I have learnt a lot But min/maxing, builds, CP distribution...I was finding my groove. I enjoy how I play and think I'm where I want to be. So, I'll take the plunge and see how I do.
Thank you everyone for the support and understanding. I think text chat will help those of us who prefer to communicate that way. I also think Guilds dedicated to introducing new players to dungeons is a fantastic idea.
I know a few people have messaged me and I will get back to you soon!!
