All ultimates should cost base 50 and then scale..

As the title says,

I think all ultimates should cost a base 50 (ultimate) but then scale up to how much Ultimate you have built up. In other words you can use any Ultimate frequently but if you want a more powerful version you need to wait and let your ultimate build up. I think this might give ultimates a fun twist as it seems like such a waste to have 1000 ultimate built up but it is no better than using it at say 200.

Anyways any and all feedback is welcomed.

    So if 200 ult = 80k meteor then 1000 ult = 400k meteor. So the plan is to meteor stack and watch the pledges insta die then.

    This wouldn't really work with things like overload and werewolf. And if you cast a meteor at 50, what's the point when you could just use a regular ability and do what would presumably be similar damage? (Otherwise the system would be completely OP)

    I see two problems with this:
      A - More calculations in pvp will equal more lag mate.

      B - With such a low ult cost everyone would just spam ults on a permanent basis...
      So just NO!

      The plus side? If you practice animation cancelling or weaving you can recharge your ult in a very timely manner and use it more if you so choose. :smile:

      Things would have to be adjusted so that at 50 or even 100 Ult... meteor and other ultimates hit for less than what they currently due but at 1000 ultimate they will hit for more than they currently due.

      I would just like to see a reason to save up 1000 ultimate :).

      Incap used to work like that.

      People used to stack 1k ult and then 1 shot anybody, tanks, emp's.

      Yeah I am not sure how Overload or Werewolf would work into this ...

      Maybe make it so that if you use Werewolf at 1000 Ult then you can stay transformed without feeding for twice as long!

      I don't like that proposal at all. Nowadays, you have to make the choice (which in all honesty isn't that difficult to make) whether to use your Ultimate or save it up for another occasion. Saving up means you get punished by wasting Ult. Removing that penalty lessens the trade-off.

      There are Ultimates which should have another go re-evaluating their cost, but that's it. Difference in cost, difference in utility, difference in damage, all of this plays into it to make it actually tactical game.

      I have yet to play as a werewolf so I am not sure how long you can stay transformed :).

      Actually it may be better to start off at 100 and then every 100 after the ultimate gets stronger. In my mind, doing something like this evens out the cost of all the Ultimates (excluding Overload and Werewolf)... power to cost ratio is now up to the player... want your ultimate to hit hard / make a big difference then build it up to 1000.
