If you make the effort to run the dungeons you can get all kinds of goodies. I have a level 4 mule who holds nothing but CP160 weapons and armour I have picked up (my level 3 mule holds my jewelry). He has several Warden, Kena and Skoria shoulders along with several Blood Spawn and Infernal sets. I also have two tanks equipped with CP160 Engine Guardian sets.
Australian on PS4 NA server.

Most players who have under 100 cp are inexperienced. You can't complete wgt with inexperienced players.
Two experienced and competent players can beat WGT...just the two of them. You can easily carry two extra players or - gasp - teach them the mechanics. You are not as good as you think you are if you are electing to drop group because you perceive someone to be incapable.
That said, I rarely pug as I simply would rather not deal with the headache.PS4 NA Server

In my experience, trying to teach PUGs with broken capslock keys is an exercise in frustration.3 -

No, the logic is actually somewhat sound.
vWGT is difficult content. Battlescaling will statistically put you in range of where you should be to run the content, but it won't give you the mechanical understanding of the game nor compensate for a lack of skill.
There's nothing that actually prevents a CR100 character from running it effectively, if they're properly geared and the player knows what they're doing.
The issue is that, because CR is shared account wide, it's a rough indicator of the player's overall experience with vet content. Someone at CR100 probably hasn't spent enough time working through vet dungeons to actually be up to the task of running vWGT.
They could hide that by grinding another 50CP, and still be just as inexperienced, but it would be slightly harder to detect.
It's not about raw elitism, it's that vWGT is the most difficult 4 man content in the game, and at CR100, you haven't spent the time with this game to really learn the systems and be ready to tackle that content.1 -
