Gold glyphs vs poison on weapons

I wonder, what is better, from raw stats isn't more efficient in damage per time to use thousands of cheap crafted poisons than expensive gold weapon glyph with poisons?
I mean gold glyph CP160 gives 3000 poison damage. Poisons CP150 give 1520 damage per second for 7 seconds i.e. 10640 damage? There is also a cooldown on both, but I'm not sure how to compare effectiveness with cd.

Glyphs all the way. Poisons are only good with maelstrom weapons or if you reaaaaaally can't afford a glyph

Was this all new poison stuff waste?

Major failure reason is, "suppressing weapon enchantment while using poison"

Poison is not causing burst damage and enchantments are a way better offering. Even poison dot is not strong..

Not sure what developers had in mind while implemented this poison stuff in game

I use gold glyphs on my daggers and poison on my bow which does poison damage, slows speed by 50% and returns health back to me and then a little more poison, yeah its not as much as a glyph would do but the reduced movement speed can be very effective with a difficult boss
