Guild Traders in Cyrodiil

Here is an idea that I discussed with some people in my guild:

Guild Traders in Cyrodiil.
Where you pay with AP instead of gold.
You auction for the guild trader with AP (will probably have to introduce a new mechanic to deposit AP into the guild bank)
You buy items with AP.

This way, people who strictly PvP and have hundreds of thousands of AP but no gold can buy and trade items that they otherwise wouldn't be able to.

Not everybody is interested in AP, as gold is most used currency.

AP even offers very less comparing Gold, I have lot of AP to do nothing, no idea what good to do wih them..

May be they should allow us trading AP for gold I.e. 100 AP = 50 Gold.

I cant see it working.

eg.
-if they are in alliance bases then its a very limited market as you would only have purchasers in one alliance.
-If they are in the open world then there browsing would be difficult as by the time you have filled in your search criteria someone has riden past and dropped you.
-Following on from that you either:
1) purchase a trader and get a stand in each of the bases. which is workable.
2) create some kind of safe zone round trader locations to stop people being killed while shopping. But all that will do is encourage people to loiter outside to pick off people going for gear.
3) keep it as it is.

I have a *** load of AP and nothing to do with it really except buy more siege/repairs. The undaunted vendor is the only option really and I have pretty much all the helms with the desired traits already. Vendor in cyro needs to come up with a better variety of gear. I haven't used it since the start.

I left multiple threads of the same thing, and someone said: If you claim a keep, you have a guild trader with the siege merchant. That only applies for you and whoever is in your guild. Everyone else does not see this guild trader.

That is a reasonable idea. The reason I put up this offer is because this way we can sell things for AP rather than gold. If it were just in Cyrodiil, than people who aren't interested in AP wouldn't be getting the sets anyways because they would likely not be coming into Cyrodiil either.

OP, did you know that when a guild claims a keep or resource, their guild store becomes accessible to the public just like if they had bid on a trader? Just speak to the Quartermaster.

Of course if your faction doesn't own the keep, that won't work, but there are enough options for people to check out. If the guild who claimed the keep/resource doesn't have store, then it's not accessible. But I've found some really good deals in Cyrodiil because people were listing stuff at "guildie prices". :-P

Buy Akaviri motif pages to sell. I have friends who asked me if I could get them for them once I have enough AP again (after having spent all mine on motif pages) and they would love to be able to buy them off someone.

My question is would anybody really want to sell things for AP? The seller would then have the same problem you have now. A bunch of AP and not much you can do with it. Might be a few PVP only guilds interested if they use tons of siege equipment, but my guess is they really don't have a problem now getting siege stuff.

I wouldn't mind unloading a bunch of AP for crafting supplies, just not sure anybody out there would really want my AP.

Hahaha. Everyone with too much AP, please buy some darn forward camps!

I got 1 million AP last month, had 100k left over and no motifs or monster helms.

Love the idea! Also, offer these new traders at each of the towns (that will soon be captureable). Would add another reason to claim each of these landmarks.

Speaking of guild traders in Cyrodiil, I can't remember when was the last time I browsed through one. I think they should add some at the starting areas rather than in keeps. I'd probably do more shopping there before heading out to battle.
