I must be playing another game... The community keeps complaining about the game bugs and all. All right, it makes sense. Everything should improve.
However, I am reading "chaos doom end of the game" posts that really make me think I am not playing the same game as some people here...
Okay, there are some issues but it doesn't make ESO that bad! I mean, this is BY FAR the best MMO I've ever played, no doubt. I simply can't compare it to WOW or GW2 or any other MMO. Seriously guys, have you ever played a game you FEEL your character (I mean a MMO). No, no kidding, please compare point by point the current MMOs.
Group finding bug is a thing and meh, I can still play knowing it will be fixed. We are not talking about a small MMO, we are talking about Bethesda's jewel. Please, be honest: don't you really think it's a little bit weird that they announced an Elder Scrolls card game and didn't even show anything about a ES6? ESO is the future of ES series, don't you see? It will happen exactly like WOW: no more single player games, but a MMO that lives forever (or almost it).
As an ESO lover, I felt the need to make this post. What do you think?
Advocating for crown crates to return to the store of adult Brazilians.

I am an adult, I want to spend the money I earn on crown crates.

ZOS can comply with Brazil's legislation and still sell crown crates to adults.

TES VI will come, but it will take a couple of years for it to happen - meanwhile ESO is the only Elder Scrolls game and it is good to go for many years to come - so I am not worried. It is a good game and ZOS is working on fixing issues, even they are still a bit slow with it, but they care - and that is important.

And with housing in the making and Vvardenfell as a possible DLC or DLC series, there is a lot where many people are looking for, so I have no doubt that ESO will increase the amount of users much further than they already have - it is a huge game with a lot of content, maybe not for everyone, but it is a valid continuation of the TES series and I really like it - will by my fantasy RPG home for years to come.

ESO is a very good game. But criticism is necessary. The game has some several performance issues, specially Cyrodill. Also concerning features, it's a few years behind mostly of east asians mmorpgs. Also, ESO game engine is terrible.

But it's still a good game after all.

the only issue i cant live with is orsinium being a no go zone on console. i know they are working on it, and for that i am greatfull, but the fact that the last fix didnt work has me concerned

I have 10 characters 7 max level, all of whom are running arround in part purple gear, I NEED tempers. the best way for me to get said tempers is to do my writs & collect my surveys, traveling to the city from another wayshrine is too risky

People doomsay everything on the Internet. If you're happy that's all that matters.

For what it's worth there were "ESO is dying" posts from before console ever came out. Seriously.

But there are as well features which are unique - no target lock required in combat, what makes combat very fluent - and both, 1st and 3rd person view - I really love that and change between both modes very often and flexibly; gives it a real single-player feel. I never tab-target, this feels to MMOy to me, but I draw my bow and might change the target by aiming literally in the last fractions of a second before I shoot. This would not be that fluently and easily possible in a normal MMO.

But to be fair, there are some weird features as well - like I use agony on one of a group - but that one is not the NPC, who gets agony applied, but some other NPC in this group - which breaks immersion anytime I experience this.

While i would say less common i would not say unique. Tera and GW2 two fairly popular mmos, both out before ESO use a very similar targeting mechanic.

But to the over all point I think it is something that happens with all mmos. Because people dedicate large chunks of time to then, the little things add up over time.

For example for me my current gripe is the complete lack of functions and options, that a normal mmo would have. It also amuses me that they have tried to rebrand their lack of effort as a different kind of mmo.

Now do the lack of options make the game uplayable? No. Does it make it worse? Not really. But over time, its like oh i need to type that in again? Why cant this stupid thing remember what I was searching for.... *Rage*

Yes, I have this problem anytime I visit a lot of guild traders and I just want to search for a certain asset - and have to make the choice over and over and over again - and why the heck is there no search or sorting implemented - that add-ons can do that is no excuse IMO, sorting and searching are normal features which belong in any game, which deals with asset. Well data retrieval in a whole is painful - like access to the guild bank - why the heck is this not nearly instant - it is just a very simple database query, not complicated at all.

I don't think many are saying ESO is a bad game. In fact, for me personally it's incredibly enjoyable...when it works, which at the moment on console, it doesn't work very well at all. The constant loading screens, slow loading npc's/enemies, slow loading quest markers are ruining the game right now. I don't even need to mention Wrothgar and the state that's in at the moment.
That being said, today has seemed better. I've not had a loading screen interrupt yet and things have generally been loading a lot faster but whether that's down to there being less players on the server or whatever, I don't know.
ESO VI hasn't been announced yet for a number of potential reasons. One being the fact they are releasing the Skyrim remaster. The second being they seem to be in a habit of announcing things only a few months before their release. I can't imagine ESO VI coming out within the next year or two, let alone next few months.

Again, I personally love the game. But what's the point if I can't play it? No amount of love for the game is going to make the issues it has go away and they need to be told about the major issues in order to fix them. I'm not going to sit here and say how good the game is if it's a broken mess otherwise nothing will ever get done to fix the problems. This is why there are so many posts about how bad it is at the moment.

Now don't get me wrong. I complain more than most people on here.

But I cannot stand vague or inappropriate responses like "less than ideal" in scenarios such as when my templar was actually impossible to load into for 6 days. Or just no response at all from the "community team" who just pick and choose to reply to whatever crap they find and ignore MAJOR issues and refuse to comment.

But I do love this game, I just want it to succeed in the long run, I just have this fear they'll go all Ubisoft and abandon it. They said they have a 5 year plan for this game. It's been 1 for console so far and I just want them to see it out.

They need to start by upping thier game and focusing more on proper development, and I hate to be the one that says this..

Money is a factor of course...but when you *** $1m up the wall on some marketing stunt you can't really use that as an excuse.

It does confuse me often when I see all of the doom and gloom rhetoric. The reason it confuses me is because I play on Xbox1. The consoles are not having as much of the issues that are going on PC.

    This game isnt going anywhere...

^This. I can't even do the main quest in Wrothgar because I can't get into Scarp Keep to talk to King Kurog. As you say, they are aware of the problem and are working on it, but I still wish I could play the DLC I paid for.

Whenever someone is saying ESO is dying or is gonna die that's their own personal opinion and is in no way factual. I know a dying game when I see it and this one is NOT dying. That said we do have these to look forward to:

TESV: Skyrim Remastered. A blessing for those that did not play it on PC because it gives us hope we can have the console experience without the unplayability.

TESVI. Nothing is know about this beyond the fact it is coming, but is very far off.

TESO: TU DLCs. How many? Akatosh only knows...

If you don't step foot in cyrodiil, you ARE playing another game. This is the best fetch quest and flowerpicker simulator of 2015.

If you like standing in a blob, DPSing a glowing ghost while it utters ominous phrases at you, this game is excellent for that too.

If you like DAOC, Guild Wars, or even planetside style massive PvP, be prepared for letdowns, lag, bugs, egregious cheats, inconsistent moderation, terrible balance, and developers that clearly don't play their PvP game.

So enjoy carebear land, it's very well done. PvP has so much potential but is still a mess.

Most players who enjoy the game won't come to announce it on the forums, however most of the naysayers will come to complain. Thus it creates a very skewed perception of the actual quality of the game.

Ask the general public what they think of the game overall and you see plenty of positive feedback, especially if it's about whether the game is dying or not.

Oft times it is indeed usually just toxic people being toxic on the forums though. That is why I promote the yaysaying around here!

Huzzah! Another "I love this game" thread". All I will say, (As I have said too much in other threads, lol), is after 4,000+ hrs since 4/4/14 launch, I still play every day and still love this game. My first real MMO also. About "nay-sayers", my favorite entertainment during maintenance is to go to the ESO Face-Book page. Lmao!
