Should Zos concentrate on fixing current content vs adding more and causing more lag ?

Those issues on Xbox1 and PS4, which I have seen in videos, are really bad. But the experience you have on PC differs a lot from that, where it is pretty well performing to the most part. To expect to have good performance in zergs with mass spam of AoE effects is just naive - it could just be solved with violating the client-server architecture and open the game up for even more cheats and hacks. The problem here is not the technology, but the player behavior - zergs and mass spamming AoE are just bad performance-wise, and nothing will change this as long as players are stubbornly playing in zergs and mass spam AoE - they do not deserve better, if they do this.

"...vs adding more and causing more lag"

I can't agree that these two things are glued together. Wrothgar can get some low fps (25-30 for me) in certain areas, but that's it.

I am guessing this is mainly a console problem? Maybe ZoS should just cut back on the view/object/character load distance on consoles since they seem to have problems running this game. Or maybe they have to lower the texture resolution further or load fewer cells, like how you could adjust "ugridstoload" in Oblivion/ Skyrim.

I can't really answer your poll without agreeing with something I don't agree with because of how you have worded it.

Pretty sure they have a schedule. They have to follow that schedule ALONG with trying to fix previous/future content bugs. They got too much on their plate is what i believe.

Yeah, the game isn't lagging on PC - a temporary drop to around 30 fps cannot be considered lag, it is even more frames per second than a TV had 30 years go - and people did not say their TV would be lagging. If you expect too much, than you have a problem, of course, but the problem is then actually you and not the game.

@ZOS_MattFiror should hire more ppl, or better experienced ppl to do both. 7 million users now, no reason not to but poor management. Each week we should be seeing 5x the bug fixes we do in the weekly incremental patch notes, all while never missing a quarterly DLC.

wish people would stop quoting that 7 million bs unless to make fun of ZO$

Because it was 7 million unique copies sold not 7 million active users.

Most of the problems are due to poor structure and planning. These bugs can't be fixed if they haven't already. Building a game is like building a house, if you bring the wrong materials or plan poorly it effects the end product in a negative way. In order to fix it you have to tear it down and rebuild it. You can't fix everything with a patch.

This situation is like the Day Z and FInal Fantasy MMO, it was buggy and both the developers knew that the structure of the game was in poor shape and the only way to fix it was to rebuild it. Basically any bug that hasn't been fixed yet won't be unless they remake the game entirely with all features planned and prepared for.

...and in the context of the quote above, a perfectly reasonable number to be using.

People don't like the 7 million number because it's perilously close to the current number for that other game they think begat the MMO genre...

This is basically with the lag in Cyrrodil, what I suspect - I see the main cause in game mechanics, which would have to be changed to cater to the actual technical capabilities - and this might be just a too large task to attempt for them.

well, it seems to me quite a foolish thing to debate the semantics of a single word in my statement when you look at it either way its a VERY HUGE AMOUNT OF $$$$$$. More than enough to field a few more staff members to get DLC done on time while fixing more bugs than they are currently. Topic back on track.....you're welcome.
