I really wish I stuck with Skyrim.
I'm loving the game play, the crafting, the classes, and the levelling system. Well, that may be a stretch for the levelling system.

But the buggy LFG, the lack of a real chat system has really come short of what even DC Universe Online (a F2P game no less) has managed to accomplish.
I regret buying the game, and I regret paying for 2 months of subscription time.

LFG is a current known bug it was working well before Dark Brotherhood DLC they are trying to fix it. They are planning on implementing a text chat communication system as well. We are still waiting on final details on the text chat system.

Bye. Go back to DC universe, I guess? You seem to be pretty new to the MMORPG world and maybe that isn't for you. Stick to the single player elder scrolls and move on. Wait a few more years for the next one. Why you paid for 2 months of sub time before you figured out if you liked the game and if it was for you confuses me. I know I have had my share of annoyances with this game since PC release, but I atleast look at gameplay videos such as YouTube/twitch/trailers and what the game has to offer before I even buy a game. And text chat is coming.

There is no comparison b/w Skyrim and as ESO is MMORPG,

I am playing Elder Scroll since Morrowind @ 2003.. and found ESO very good except it have some performance issues (which will be addressed soon), game is further improving day by day as any other MMO..

PVP is fun except some performance issues are bad,

I still love this game and prefer over many others..

I am on PS4, have purchased it on PC as well but PS4 is winner for me..

Xemnas, you have all the right to stay, regardless of what others tell you, you have the right to not think this game is "perfect" and still play it, you paid for it, and you dont have to turn into yet another ZOS worshiping fanboy.

The game does have its bugs, for years, so there is no denying that... however some of them are improved sometimes, and if you want to just pve do a few quests here and there, it isnt THAT buggy, so you can definitely do a "skyrim style" kind of play, and go on with your crafting... However you have to realize this is not exactly skyrim, keep that in mind and you will be happier... Skyrim is coming in PS4 in late august if I am not mistaken.

Text chat will also come to console, and...yeah, so stay if you wish or wait for Skyrim.

    This is too funny.
Been playing MMO's for years, which is why it's so pathetic that such typical, and key, features are not being prioritized.

That's part of my point. If a game like DCUO can get an LFG to function while having a functioning chat system, how is ESO so far behind?

I'm sure they acknowledge issues internally, and I know they fix bugs and glitches. But I'm talking about the current state of performance on ps4. It's been a month now, where the game at times is unplayable, and their response have only been that they are aware of some players having issues. They even asked said players to write specific times and zones down where the lag/fps drops/loading screens/invisible mobs etc are happening, illustration just how unaware they are of the problems as these issues are happening to everyone, everywhere.

Yup it's pretty bad most days the odd occasion it works it comes as a bit of a shock to how good the game can actually be.

But that is few and far between the past month or so.

my LFG was vastly improved in patch 1.15 :
    • Improved the speed at which the Activity Finder can analyze and match players.
    • Fixed an issue that would occur if you joined the Activity Finder with a group of three and one player left, resulting in the queue not replacing that player.
It works incredibly well for me now. matching me quickly and efficiently even when queing with others.
    • I got myself into a guild with people who talk in the guild chat channel. Its vastly improved my QoL and fun in game circumventing what i agree should have been an essential component. text chat. The fact you cant even recruit in game without spamming invites really inhibits the console communities development. lack of text chat is killing the game. If they had it from the start i bet more guilds could flourish, trade for those not in guilds with traders could still occur, and player retention is bound to have improved. ZOS are ignorant and short sighted at times.
    • I also dislike the guild trader system for a multitude of reasons. personally i find its a hindrance to buying and selling in my opinion. and does not eliminate price fixing which was one of the attractive benefits it was meant to provide. its knovelty soon grows tiresome when you can find something you are looking for without passing through a dozen load screens, and wasting several hours.
    • when the game first came out on PS4 there was no UI options to see your damage numbers, or healing. content created to be challenging to PC players with addons and who could min/max builds and had amassed champion points, was impossible. console players who didn't even know basics like how much damage a light or heavy attack did, how much blocking reduces damage. do i actually debuff this boss when i use my choking talons even though i see no visual.... and so on.
    • But things have changed, they have improved. it may not be at where you expect it to be. but as you already shelled out why not spend those few month playing, and see if you can find some enjoyment. and who knows you can always stop and try again in 3 months when the next DLC comes with more base game improvements.
    • ZOS desire to be unique and give a certain immersive RPG feel to their MMO really is their worst enemy. That and some horrible base code. but my frustrations are born out of love for what could be, and what is slowly being shaped. and i guess yours are too if you took the time to come on the forums and make this post. not a task that is easy for us console players. so welcome.

I don't disagree, but you are missing the point: The game on ps4 is horrible at the moment and has been since DB launch. Everyone experiences lag/FPS drops/loading screens upon loading screens/ invisible mobs etc everywhere and at any time. Of course the more populated areas are worse, but the issues are the same everywhere.

Now they have been made aware of this for 3 weeks, and if they would have listened or heck even just tried the game on PS4, they would have realised how silly it is to ask that of players.

No need to be negative and tell Xemnas1988 to leave or whatnot. Let Xemnas1988 vent. Many are feeling similar and frustrated with some of the lags. Stick in there, @Xemnas1988. I'm actually very new to RPG or MMORPG, and ESO is my first experience. It took a bit of getting used to in trying to navigate around and learning the ropes within ESO and its community. I felt frustrated during the first few weeks of gameplay, but I kept at it and about 3 months later, I'm unfortunately addicted. Lol! I enjoyed Skyrim a lot and would consider it to be among my fav games.. but after being submerged in ESO and all it has to offer, I feel Skyrim is now a bit linear without being around and doing stuff with all the other players running around in ESO. I didn't realize there are so much more techniques and strategies within ESO.. from building up the right armor sets, leveling up skillsets, abilities and CP to fighting in PvE and PvP.. this, to me, makes Skyrim a bit linear; although it is still a good game.

Also, I'm not sure what LFG is, but during my few months into ESO now, I (and also many) have experienced quite the few lags, but it seems to come and go, and seems to be fixed, at least for me within a few days of someone complaining about it or posting the issues on this forum. So, overall, I have had a good experience with ESO. So, I hope you work with the ZOS support to try to get whatever issue or issues you are having and continue to stick with it. Despite a spell of frustration or annoyances here and there, and if I was part of the developing team, there would be some improvements (add-on, changes and deletes) I would suggest; however, this is still by far, one of the awesome game I've played.

I find that ESO is best played on PS4 as a single player game, at least currently.

The social aspects, namely anything where more than one player has to interact, is pretty bad. I like voice chat over text chat on console, but no one uses it anymore, so there is basically no communication with anyone. Group ANYTHING is crippled, and that includes both looking-for-group and guild traders.

I like guild traders over auction house, but on console, it is like the whole thing was designed by Vault-Tec as some sort of experiment.

When text chat comes out next month, we will see what happens. I expect that it will become the default trading venue since it will be easier to ask in "zone chat" whether someone has something to sell than try to find it using the guild trader UI.

I'm sure you are right if all you do is pugs. But if you find yourself a good guild with nice people the social aspects of the game on PS4 is pretty good. I know that its what is keeping some players in the game while they wait for zos to fix the current issues.

The social communication challenges on the console make it hard to find a guild. It is bad on PC/Mac, terrible on PS4.

I have been in guilds on the PS4 and all of them are dead now. I can't name them, for obvious reasons. It is basically required to sift through the forum to find a guild. People are still requesting access in the forum to these dead guilds.

Both PC/Mac and console need a Looking For Guild tool that is smart enough to filter out guilds where the guild master is missing, presumed dead.

Text chat will help with finding guilds on console. We will see how well that works.

It depends a lot where you play, what you play and how you play, if ESO is really good or awfully bugged - I can see why Xbox1 and PS4 player are currently unhappy with the game (even these are temporary issues and will be fixed soon, I guess) and there was a time when I was unhappy with the 64-bit client on PC, but ZOS fixed it - I bashed the game when it was broken, but I am a fair person, and once they fixed the issues, I am stating now as well, that I am happy with the game. This does not mean the game would be perfect, just that *I* am a happy customer now, because the game works in those areas and aspects, which I am using and where I am playing. So it really depends on your gameplay, if it is a good game or not.

The game used to be stable and playable on before the DLC were released on consoles, that period between july, august and september 2015 (not counting june 2015, launch dates are always a nightmare on MMO's). Once the dlc started coming every 3 months non stop bugs just kept adding up. Give it some time you'll like it. Its a great game, you just joined at a horrible time is all.
