Should Zos concentrate on fixing current content vs adding more and causing more lag ?

Example is wrothgar is freezes and lags so much that it locks up people characters. PVP is so bad that you can't have a large Zerg fight cause it just freezes you and causes people to seem like they are cheating.

Pretty sure they have a schedule. They have to follow that schedule ALONG with trying to fix previous/future content bugs. They got too much on their plate is what i believe.

I do feel that one end of year release (the winter one now) would benefit from an update which was devoted to bug fixing. Maybe with ZOS opening a thread for bug report posts to get all the information they can.

That schedule is causing them to code over code which is why the game is getting as bad as it is.

You guys are aware that ZOS isn't 2 freaks coding their garage right ? I'm sure you aware that they could have a content team of devs and another dedicated to fix bugs...

The people complaining about performance will be the same people calling ZOS "liars" if they drop the promised DLC frequency. Besides, different teams do different things, those designing new content aren't the people who can fix the server code. In any event, while there are clearly some who are suffering serious performance issues, what they forget when calling for either a moratorium on new content or even the suspension of the game while those issues are fixed is that not everyone by any means is suffering those issues.

I'm fine with adding a ton more content to the game!

I'd love it even more if they can improve on the current game :)

No, because new content team (art, sound design, graphic design, conception, and finally... coding) and maintenance (coding, hardware) team are (should be) two distinct teams.
    Parallel tasks is theoritically possible.

I have a feeling that the next DLC will do exactly that, since there is little content wise in there.

And we see the general consensus: wah wah wah wah to expensive, I'm gonna unsub and tell mom wah wah wah wah wah

Mementos have been broken for weeks. I find it hard to justify my continued sub when my gameplay experience has been so fudged lately.

I have personally beta tested a lot of games and that is kinda what i feel we have here. It feels like we are just play a game that is in constant beta form that they never really address the issues and just add more and more content and countries . Don't get me wrong I think the graphics and content is very good. I just think that it feels like a beta game with all the issues.

I don't think consoles will survive another Dlc like DB. At this rate, it won't be fixed until August. I fear a lot of players have moved on.

I think (and I hope) they have 2 different departments for that. The creative department should never stop working, as well as the "maintenance" or however it is called.
We want new and fresh content but also the bugs should be fixed

Folks don't get your hopes up. The issues just keep piling up with every new update/dlc. Players have been complaining and reporting Cyrodiil issues for over a year and a half. Yet Cyrodiil has gone from bad to pathetic and at times is completely unplayable. Many die hard pvp players have left the game because of it.

New content has not caused me more lag, so I have to answer "no". It has not fixed the lag, but that was not the question.

Please, don't tarred everyone by the same brush. That's not because we like smooth performance that we're all toxic people. I never called ZOS anything, I love this game, I like the direction the game is going and I'm looking forward for what's coming next.

To vague a question. Games that have been out 15+ years still have bugs/issues that happen. Plus the demand by players for new content will always cause potential additional new issues. I think a better question is Should ZOS make fixing major issues like the present gap closing problems a priority vs their normal approach of trying to roll out a fix with DLCs vs fixing asap

Fix all the current content first BEFORE adding more and upgrade those servers.

The graphics and sound teams could be temporarily re-assigned to fix graphical and audio bugs, coding and maintenance teams for the hardware and core game bugs.

Why would ZOS care about fixing bugs that are not related to the Crown Store and subscription system? If it doesn't directly generate income, there's no reason for current day ZOS to even remotely care about it. The Skyrim players will keep coming anyway.

Mementos have been broken for weeks. I find it hard to justify my continued sub when my gameplay experience has been so fudged lately.

Then drop your sub and stop complaining about it. They know the issue exists and it will be fixed when it is fixed. As has been pointed out, there is a fixit team and it is delusional to think they are not working in a logical planned manner to fix the issues that occur. A single point cannot be changed without affecting the whole. The is a development team working hard to satiate the greedy demand for more content while trying to balance the "More End Game" and the "I want to explore" factions. Many of you would crumble under the casual pressure you feel entitled to exert because you bought a product that you knew ahead of time was unlikely to be perfect. I love TES games but I fully understand that Bethesda has limitations. ZOS is inexperienced in the production of an MMO. That it has people with experience does not mean they won't make mistakes trying to meld a beloved single-player into an MMO.

no one is saying or even implying that they are the same people. What every IS asking for is that ZOS devotes more time and resources to fixing the game as it is and NOT push any more new content that will continue to bog the servers down and add a new list of glitches and exploits, and massive amount of lag. These comments are more for the controlling faction inside of ZOS to redirect their priorities and budget to favor game performance over new content that just takes away from performance with every single DLC. What everyone really wants is for the content that we do get to be compatible with the game and not make the game worse than it was before and close to unplayable. Every DLC we get, the game performance suffers more and more. Most of these things could have and should have been fixed while still on PTS and yet we continue to get most of the same issue even on console release (which is at least 2 months after the PTS release). It is insane that any company would put out a product they KNOW is faulty and just shrug their shoulders any time they are asked when or even if they will fix it. What they truly need is more Quality Control on their end

@ZOS_MattFiror should hire more ppl, or better experienced ppl to do both. 7 million users now, no reason not to but poor management. Each week we should be seeing 5x the bug fixes we do in the weekly incremental patch notes, all while never missing a quarterly DLC.
