Can someone please explain to me what "X" is in kids terms? This has been driving me crazy.
I looked at some champion point descriptions and seen this:
Increases the effectiveness of healing received by [x]%
increases your Physical Resistance by [x]% while wearing 5 or more pieces of Heavy Armor
Increases the effectiveness of damage absorbing effects by [x]%
I looked at race attributes and see stuff like:
Increases Cold Resistance by 3[x]
Increases Max Health by 9% and Poison and Disease Resistance by 3[x]
What is x? Is it based on some unknown value like max mag/health/stam or Spell Damage/Weapon Damage?

It stands for a value, a number.
For example:
• My Crystal Fragments deals 13,591 magic damage on my Lvl50 Sorcerer.
• Crystal Fragments deals 1,789 magic damage on your Lvl8 Sorcerer.
• To describe the damage of Crystal Fragments, we say it deals [x] damage. This is due to the damage it deals not being a flat value aka consistent. Your Spell Damage/Max Magicka would change the damage Crystal Fragments deals so you have to use x to say how much damage it deals for everyone.
I think you get it now
