Wait, is there a race to the CP cap? A special prize?
Dammit....if there is, I want it! And I want it now!
But I only want it it's cake.

Mate, I'm so teribad at PvP that my Nixad poses a bigger threat to other players than I do....regardless of my champion points.Wait, is there a race to the CP cap? A special prize?

Yes, the game is just sad for anyone who is not 400+.
Don't believe me? try to go to Cyrodiil at as high as 200CP, you won't even pinch your enemy.
I see no reason to make changes at this time.
It's an MMO...you need to spend the time playing the game.
It's already quite easy to get to the cap if you just play the game...and isn't that what you should be doing anyway?
Games are supposed to be played as something that is enjoyable, so if you enjoy ESO...just play it and have fun!
The CP's will take care of themselves

Well at 1 CP a day if you want to take years to reach the cap and you're fine with that and you're fine with groups kicking you or refusing to take you in the first place for being at low CP's, that's your prerogative but the longer it takes for people to catch up to 501 and soon 531 cp, the longer it'll take for the cap to ever raise again.
Frankly after enlightenment is consumed, it's not worth questing anymore questing becomes not a very good way to get xp when its 8k xp a quest instead of 32k.
So the way most people actually reached 501, was by grinding cyrodiil delves in a group with xp pots/scrolls on. But the majority of people who play the game, don't find that fun, so it takes them longer to reach 501.

im at 700 cp, i started on xbox launch day and i leveled up 8 characters to vet 16 (before db release) through questing, dungeons, writs & pvp - were not all sewer/orsinium/crackwood grinders

I have to respectfully disagree my friend.
Granted I've been playing since the start on PC, and I very much enjoy the game...so I play as much as I can, but getting champion points is really not that hard. It just takes time. I'm sitting on 647 cp's on my main account (I'd have many more but I enjoy rolling alts) and 340ish on my second account. All of the 340ish cp's on my second account came from leveling 2 characters to VR16 (when that was still a thing) and that was from just doing quests.
I guess too each his or her own, but I don't think it should be easy to get to the "most powerful" setups without putting in some time learning the ropes first.
So what if I'm at the cap...I'm still not the best player out there (and I never will be), but that's not why I log into ESO every free chance I get.
To get better...yes.
To spend time with friends...of course!
To enjoy the wonders of Tamriel...no doubt.
To worry about how many cp's I have...HELL NO!
Mostly I log onto ESO as much as I can...to have fun
I guess I just wish that players could just learnt to have a little more fun in the moment...and stress about the min/max stuff a little less cause life is just too darned short.

Not all, but must, and the people who got there fastest, and most likely the people who complain most about the cap only going up 30 points, are grinders.
For example, instead of 200.000 XP to get a CP, the required XP will be at 199.990 ? WOW DAT catch-up mechanic. The higher the cap goes, the less XP is required to get the lower CPs. That is the catch-up mechanic.
I'm at 307. Take one year hatius after reach VR14. I have to grind like as a brainless to get CP, I would like to do the dailies but it take ages to reach a single CP.The higher the cap goes, the less XP is required to get the lower CPs. That is the catch-up mechanic.

I edited my post. I played from beta to the day they put CP system. And this time I did everything.I'm at 307. Take one year hatius after reach VR14. 200,000 XP is nothing. Do quests. Kill mobs as you go. Be efficient with your time. Pick up all the quests in a zone and then do them all and turn them all in at once. You'll save time and get more experience faster then if you go do one quest, go back turn it in and do another.
Go into random unexplored caves and clear them. Sometimes they even have hidden quests inside and some good materials and loot.
