Crown Store Profits VS Game Quality

I just want to state my opinion (and concern) here.

There is no doubt that ZOS is raking in the Crowns lately. Everything is super overpriced, and the fact that they so blatantly over-charge for items is a sign of this. They are not worried what people say about the prices because people are BUYING.

Look at the Merchant/Banker, and OFC the 4000 Crown Senche. And that is not even mentioning the price of the small things.

On top of that, with Crafting Bags, and Costume Dying coming - Subs should be at an all time high.

But, the Lag, and general issues of the game have never been in a WORSE state than they are now. What is ZOS using all their cash-cow money for? Not Maintenance. Not improvements.

It just feels like I am subscribed to a Shopping Catalogue and not a combat MMO lately.

WTF is going on?

They're repaying their investors for the initial game investment which ran into huge over-runs with the extra year spent on console development. How else could you explain them having to go for multiple re-boots of the game... ESO Launch, Tamriel Unlimited, ESO Gold and soon, One Tamriel?!? All virtually within a two year period. It all screams, "we need money fast, we need more new players, we need money even faster".

They have sold over 7m copies of the game, I bet that alone covered the development expenses. Nowadays a copy of the game costs cca 20 euro, however I think at least half of the copies were sold around launch of the game when the price was considerably higher, I paid 80 euro for the game.

Add DLC's, first year of mandatory subscription, vanity items from the store etc. and they must be in green numbers. The expansion to asia is a clear proof, you don't expand a game that's not profitable.

Slayer is right, the game is in the worst state since release, bugs, lags and exploits rule the game.
Clearly ZOS is not able to handle the frequent DLC's, I have a feeling that's the reason why the next DLC doesn't bring much in terms of new content to the game. I hope ZOS is going to use the "free" time to fix the game and I also have a feeling that we'll be seeing a very big DLC next (Bethesda leaked that we will get a big expansion soon((yes, really bethesda))).

I am starting to see more things going into the store and less into the game, then the barber shop, is not a shop at all just a sterile crown store transaction, nothing added to the game, the new idea to add smaller more often dlc's just are not going to cut it, and people will not return for 2 dungeons. I hope that they do a good job with housing this is a chance to add a much needed sandbox element to the game, there are so many things they can do with housing including premium house items in the crown store.

I think the subscription fee is "OK"; the crowns keep flowing in and there are not a lot of (useful) items to spend them on.
Since I currently don't plan to stop my subscription, there is no reason to *buy* the DLCs (and additionaly I need the crafting bag) - so I could afford quite a few things from the store. I purchased the Senche and will purchase the banker/merchant (when on sale, though). I would never consider buying them with real money, but I don't regret spending the bonus crowns...
(Sidenote: The Senche looks cool, but the casting/uncasting noise is just way too annoying, so I don't use it.)

I don't mind them making money.......if, IF the game is in a good working state, not laggy or bug ridden.

Unfortunately, they dont seem to be able to fix the lag issues

You should better brace yourself for the most brutal cash grab so far.
