Spear Skill tree, Humanity's oldest mass produced weapon - Active skills:

Thrust You thrust into an enemy dealing X% damage

Artful Thrust Morph: You hit an enemy's weak point, reducing your targets armor by (minor fracture amount)

Low Thrust Morph: You strike low, hitting an enemy's heel, snaring them and setting them off balance if they are casting

Overhead Strike You strike from above! Dealing X% Damage and knocking your opponent down for 2 seconds, 1.5 second cast

Throwdown Morph: You strike with such force that it stuns for longer and deals increased damage

Balanced strike: You take the initiative after the strike and gain minor expedition (10% increased movement speed)

Footman's Lash You lash out at the enemy, causing X damage instantly and wounding him and causing him to bleed for X damage

Footman's Respite: You now gain health while your enemy deals with his wounds, healing for X every 2 seconds while the bleed is active

Footman's Cleave: Initial strike does more damage and you can now hit multiple enemy's at once, however it now has a 1 second cast

Incursion You break rank and charge towards your enemy, attempting to impale them, dealing x% damage, 28 meter (yards?) range

Major Incursion: You break your enemy's armor with your powerful charge, and inflict them with major fracture

Surprise charge: You cause your enemy to waver from your charge, inflicting them with minor maim

Fighting Stance After your long efforts of practicing with the spear, you've gained new insights in wielding one, grants major brutality

Impetus Stance: Now also grants minor resolve and minor ward while active

Valorous Stance stance: Now grants minor endurance

Personally I would not stop at spears... but then, that is why I once made a thread about this myself: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/259011/additional-weapon-skill-ideas/p1

And I really would like to see lots more weapon skill lines, to add more spice to the game, more permutations and more things to train up and spend skill points for!

I love spears and would love to see them in the game, but your suggestion feels like a dream of someone who dreams of playing an OP PVP class.

More than another weapon skill line we need two or three active skill lines not assciated with a weapon, one for casters and one for melee and ranged players, so we can create lot's of new builds. Playing with the same skills/spells since launch and only getting passives is boring as hell. Many classes don't use weapon skills at all so they'd get nothing new but the looks of the weapon.

I'd like to have a spear line. Could be good substitute on stamlar for the class skills instead, or even with them. Kinda piercing type of character in all detail. It's RP impression also.

i just went through the "Crossing the Chasm" quest (with yet another char) a couple of days ago and cam across a NPC Mage that had a staff strapped to her back but was thrusting a spear in the general direction of her enemies

i took some screenshots of it too...now if i only knew how to upload pictures to this forum i would (as i know that it didn't happen if you don't have a picture)

There's just nothing about this that screams thematically sound at all. Spears are not known to pierce armor. Very to the contrary. It seeks weaknesses in weaker armor at best, but polearm fighting has always been about keeping distance and catching someone off balance.

It's like all the magic suggestions that have no connection to magick in lore. Like yeah, super neat u can shoot warlock blasties, but what does that have to do with any shown popular capabilities in TES lore? This isn't just an MMO, themes need to apply themselves to suggestions as well.
