Banning people for Gap Closers.. ZoS whats going on???

I heard from multiple people on streams that ZoS is banning people for the Gap Closer exploit i must admit i used it too i have a video of it but in the video you also see LAG so ZoS fix Lag and fix Gap Closers as it was known on PTS that it was broken i seen many threads about it and videos showing that it was broken back then and what did you do? YOU RELEASED IT! not only that but you didnt hot fix it and look at it now... On PC people use it and Console people use it... and now people getting ban for using something that you messed up with and didnt fix it come on ZoS... quick question tho before i go. Why are you unbanning people who got banned for using Cheat Engine?

I have no idea as I am new to this game but ..

How can abilities like ambush be an exploit if that's what they are suppose to do?

It's like, why make an ability that you can get banned for using it?

From my experience, in other games anyway, the only way that this can be abused is if you have another member from the other team that support your team ...

But that's not exploiting, that's actually grief, and people should get banned for grief'ing as well but not for exploiting.

Same as sending someone to jail for stealing when he commit murder, ok that guy should rot behind bars, but not for stealing..

It's considered as exploit cause people use them gap closer to step foot into keeps in PVP without destroying their walls first.

"They released it & they did not hotfix it" =/= "i can exploit it without getting banned"

Or whoever is in charge of fixing gap closers has no clue what they're doing.

It's been years. YEARS! Still just as broke as ever, except now you can get banned for using them -_-

no.

so why then are you blaming zos for "allowing us to use exploits"???? yes, it should have been fixed a long time ago. BUT you know it is exploit, so you are doing it deliberatelly, so you are breaking the code of conduct, so you deserve a ban!

it is as simple as that.

I'm still finding it difficult to believe they are banning people for what ultimately is their own incompetence at fixing bugs, it's just laughable.

What happens if I genuinely press the wrong skill, which I sometimes do, and end up teleporting up into a keep.

Well..... I disagree.

An exploit would be more like if you cast Trap Beast in PvP it will one-shot people who step on it. Or maybe leveling Volcanic Rune to Rank IV will cause the CC duration to never end and does not allow those affected by it to get out via CC break. Breaks PvP and possibly even PvE.

Gap closers right now are being used to travel up keep walls. It is a feature at this point, NOT an exploit! ZOS recently added this in out of sheer carelessness.

When I am playing solo in PvP, it is key to use the environment to get away from the onslaught of attacks from groups. If I climb up a large set of rocks, and three EP players Crit Rush through the air to immediately reach me, it wastes the little time I had to get into a smart position because they did not have to bother climbing as I did. All thanks to broken gap closers, curtesy of ZOS. Never would I report them though because they are using the tools they were given in the most basic way possible. Going up keep walls is no different.
