Returning to Game...Need Assistance!

Hello, all, Lord Arena25 here. Me and my scribe, Shedelin, are close to returning to the game (In fact, I have the Install ESO application downloading right now as I type), but first, I need some assistance.
When I first started playing this game back in March 2014, my father created my account using my Steam ID. Well, as I just discovered, that ID contains my first initial, my middle initial, and my last name, and as I discovered while playing the game back in 2015, since guilds are per account, not per character, my UserID is used in lieu of a character name.
It's been over a year since I last played, but I would like to ask a couple questions before I return to the game on July 21st...
1: Is there an option that allows me to display my character name rather than my account name?
2: If no to the above question, how can I change my UserID? As I said, it contains my real name, and I already have a new UserID in mind.

2) Contact customer service and request an account name change. Or, alternately accept that your initials and surname are probably out there already.0 -

yes you can display your char name instead of your account's but dunno if you can hide completely your account name. That is visible when you hoover with your cursor on a persons name.

✭✭✭✭✭DPG, on PC it's always prioritized character name over account, but your user ID is visible to everyone in your guild, on your friends list, and anyone in chat who /ignores you.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Ironically, they just added Name Plates to the game that display the account name. You can turn them off for your self, but not for others. Otherwise, you just see your character name on the screen.
