Maintenance for the week of May 18:
• NA megaservers for maintenance – May 18, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC)
• EU megaservers for maintenance – May 18, 8:00 UTC (4:00AM EDT) - 13:00 UTC (9:00AM EDT)

What do you attribute the latency problems to?

I have certain times of day when ESO is unplayable for several hours. Regardless of performance tweaks or what my internet is running like, I'll log in to invisible mobs, repetitive load screens and using /reloadui over and over. I read through lots of unresolved posts from other players and I'm curious if people think it's the dlc's and the resulting fixes, or maybe it's the megaserver and resurgence of new players. I'd like to add that I've only been playing about 2 months and I enjoy the game immensely and often wonder why I waited so long.

Weekends and prime times these problems are skyrocketing. Doesn't this have to do with the servers capacity or maybe their quality standards?
Am playing this game from 2 different pc my older its a dissent i5/16gb vram/970gtx/ssd and my newer i7 5960X/32gb vram/2X titanX ...and honestly i can't tell the difference in performance
Since ESO is the only game that gives me hard time and this ridiculous problems ,i must assume that the problems coming form zenimaxs end

Low frame rate has more to do with the client hardware. Large Cyrodiil battles with lots of AOE are extremely demanding on the CPU, much more than most other recent games.

Latency issues (rubber banding, unresponsive abilities & weapon swap, etc), result from server issues.

I can't even get into my game at the moment - it logs me in then won't load the character. Just times out and kicks me off.

EU PC server. This really does need sorting out.

Normally I would agree with this very sound standard IT logic... but ESO is not logical.

I am running a 980Ti .... i5 running at 4.5Ghz..... and I regularly get low frame rates with it jumping around. My GPU/CPU usage is nowhere near maxed at these times....

Even dropping it down to medium settings makes no difference... and can run any other game on ultra without so much as a flicker.

So it's def not always a hardware issue.

Why do people still insist that the client is somehow responsible for the server lag?

No amount of client side "tweaking" will fix the server shortcomings.

I think both like you stated . The DLC ,dunno if they test it on a console for sure but probably yes cause they just need a freeking ps4/x1 wish works exactly like all other ps4/x1's.. but it's noticeable that after each update the game struggles somewhere or gets new bugs etc.
Other thing is , like you said again a lot of connectivity on patch and update release .
