The introduced game mechanic for gap closers is on ZOS for allowing it to go in from the beginning. It was reported on the PTS and you still let the mechanic in and you ban someone is just wrong and it is a month later? what? Please reconsider these silly bans because this is a bug that you created and haven't chosen to take the time to fix. How can you punish people for your mistakes.

It's on the dev's for allowing these issues to make it to live when they knew about it during PTS. You HAVE to find a fix before rolling it out on live. The true ban needs to be the devs for even allowing this. Worst case scenario for these "cheaters" should have been a warning.6 -

I am not banned but they introduced a game mechanic that was PTS and it was reported, people have been doing it for the past month and NOTHING HAS BEEN SAID until now and then they start banning people yet they unbanned people for using Cheat Engine and then lifted them a week later. ZOS never made it clear until after they banned people that, that mechanic is an exploit. Those bans are BS IMO and needs to be redone and they never shared it other than through the forum. How are people suppose to know it is an exploit when it is a GAME MECHANIC what if they accidentally do it? If they know and have said that using a gap closer is an expoilt and should not be used in an abusive manner. Then why not fix it to where people can't abuse it? Is it easier to ban a player or fix the know issue? its not there just using it there using it to exploit the game by jumping walls in pvp and such the fact that you know that this is a thing and still choose to do it is 100% on you and deserve whatever ban you got.9 -

It's funny because they used to work fine until they tried to fix toppling charge, revert back the changes, separate toppling charge from other gap closers and make it work like ambush. You can't perma ban someone for using a mechanic that you have known is not working as intended for how many months now. Get your *** together Zos fix it, test it to make sure it works then push it to live.3 -

This thread makes me want to rebuild for 2hander just to see what this exploit is all about. I rememberb efore you would get stuck in the animation of crit charge and couldn't leave it or do anything for some time, and other times you just couldn't crit charge despite obviously being able to.Master Debater0 -

Before I read about it here I thought that was how it was supposed to work.
Guild masters should read the forums and let the word spread amongst their guildies, that's the minimum when you pretend being in charge of a guild.1 -
Synfaer✭✭✭✭✭Were they using gap-closers to deliberately bypass game mechanics (e.g. enter keeps) multiple times?
If they were then they deserve a ban for a period of time, though perma-ban seems a bit harsh.
That others have been doing for X amount of time is not a valid excuse. ("C'mon officer, other people speed, ya can't book me")
However, if these people were serial offenders and have had previous warnings/bans then a perma ban might be appropriate.
Unless all the facts are known (and thats unlikely to be the case on the forums) only the banned will truly know if they deserve it and they are very unlikely to confess their "sins".

He specifically states it is a "BUG" not an exploit. Anyone that uses a gap closer knows how it works you simple press the ability and ZOOM you fly to your target, because it is a part of the game mechanic. If you also read 4 posts down from ZOS_AntonioP post he even states then it was reported on the PTS and they still didn't fix their own game mechanics. It is a joke to think that this isn't a game mechanic and rather a exploit or bug when they introduced it and knew it was a problem. Some even made a video as a joke during PTS show this game mechanic in use. People stated how much of a problem this was during PTS and they still left it in and pushed it to live. Sord✭✭✭You can still exploit a bug. It is the intent behind the action.
If it was a bug and it was reported back in PTS why didn't they just roll it back or fix it before it went live. They have had 2 other updates and plenty of time to fix it so how can they ban someone if they are unwilling to fix or just readjust those abilities back to the way they were and refix it. This is ZOS fault and they ban people for their problem. It is a mechanic and people reported and showed HOW BAD this mechanic was back on PTS. If they let it fly and it is set up this way for all gap closers it is an intended mechanic not a bug, not an exploit. ZOS can claim it is, then it needs to get fixed or rolled back ASAP.
