is the phoenix gear glitched or is it just me ?

ok, bought five pieces of the phoenix set. was having fun with it until i decided to do the daily vet pledge -- which was fungal grotto -- which is typically easy.

three times --- and from three different enemies, i got one shotted for exactly 60,500 damage. only one of the enemies was a boss. another guy in our group was wearing the phoenix set and it happened to him twice, both for exactly 60,500 damage.

to date, i have never been hit with anything more than around 25k damage --- even jumping from the highest spot i could find only did 28k damage.

has anyone else tried this set and had this happen ?

What I think is crazier is the fact that 2 people in the same random group were wearing that set. Do you know what the odds must have been for this?

I don't have anything constructive to add, but, I assure you, I was not partaking in the disgusting behavior your referenced above. Should I just go back to work?

i should clarify --- it wasnt a random group --- he bought the set after i read off what the effects were.

just weird that it happened to both of us with the exact same damage numbers.

the boss i could see one shotting me --- but a random enemy, not likely.

All jokes aside, that sounds like a specific bug. You should both put in tickets for it.

im gonna try it on todays daily and see what happens. support already has 8 million tickets to deal with lol

Yeah, I got hit by a 53K blast, either from a mudcrab or that crab boss, the first time I went into Fungal grotto.

I have ran this set on my healer since IC, never had this bug on ps4. However, it seems that dying from a DoT does proc the turning into stone animation and then exploding, effectively doing the AoE fire damage but not firing the healing, so I just die instantly after that... submitted a ticket but only an automated response and no acknowlegement of the bug

It used to be here in Imperial Cities' update for a few sets like Kagrenac's Hope, were players would take massive amounts of damage like you're describing... they fixed it though, so it seems to be back?
