Maelstrom Weapon Combos For StamDK

So I've been thinking now as I watch GoT about my stamina DK, and was wondering which route I should go (front bar) and why. This is from a gear perspective and skill perspective. Should I use 2 Maelstrom Daggers, 2 Maelstrom Axes, a mix between the Maelstrom Axe and Maelstrom Dagger, or a Maelstrom Greatsword or Maelstrom Maul?

I have them in all traits they dropped in pre-DB, with numerous copies of each. So tell me the ideal combination please.

And if you're wondering, I'm using a Maelstrom Bow on my backbar for this character. Can't decide on if I should go precise or sharpened, however. As I have both. And I'm not going to use my defending bow on him, so that's out of the question. Lol.

And last but not least, what exactly should my skill bars look like for optimal PVP and PVE damage utilizing these Maelstrom weapons I have? I have all skills unlocked with available morphs, and will be using all robust agility pieces. With my monster set being 1pcs. Kena, and 1pcs. Bloodspawn. Or should I go 2pcs. Kena or 2pcs. Bloodspawn?

Alcast is the way to go for all these questions plus Andy S (current world best for vmsa) has just posted his run online with a build screenshot. Search them both on YouTube.

I wouldn't even bother with monster sets if you have the new SO set. I'm not even touching my Stam characters in PVE till I get it.

There is a very nice bleed off the axe and the dagger will give you some crit.

Maelstrom Maul with sharpened. You get 20% penetration on target(s) armor + sharpened is a flat out 5280 or something like that so pretty much you'll be wrecking someone pretty hard since you're ignoring most likely half of their armor.

My bar with a maelstrom greatsword sharpened (want a maul) goes like this.
Stampede, Stone Giant, Reverse Slice, Dizzing Swing, Rally, flawless Dawnbreaker (may change)
Bow Bar.
Arrow Barrage, Igneous shield, shuffle, Poison Injection, vigor, and Take Flight

Yeah I'm an Aussie and the only time I can get into a team is at 5 or 6am IF there are free spots... It's taking some people 50 runs to get a full set. We're screwed haha.

from what I've seen of the rng (ran so ~200 times since db now), on normal so the droprate is very low, and highly favors garbage traits. most often it's almost always sturdy/prosperous/training.

in vso I see it drop all the time, mostly in infused/divines.

the rng is soooo bad here, out of 200 so runs, about 195 on normal, I've only seen 1 divines vicious ophidian piece.

let me tell you though, this set is AMAZING, despite them nerfing the ever loving crap out of it I think the set is greatly enhanced by the addition of jewelry.

I often use bow as dps bar on my stamplar, weavs very smoothly! I use precise bow and passive to buff crit. If I'm going pure dps I got my back rotation as dw lekis maces, which gived all your physical attacks armour pen.

atm I'm using 2pc kena (always loved this set for my stamplar), 5vicious ophidian, 3 hundings, infused 2h sword, and precise bow. seems to be working very nicely. Esp that movement speed buff in rnds 3, 7, and 9. sooooo good.

ai just drop my dots, light atk 3 times, and poison arrow/medium atk combo the adds, you maintain that 15% d,g bonus buff and literally just 1 shot ***.

I'm at 5500 weapon damage with bow atm.

I think vo/tbs combk is best inslot atm. crit, movement speed, weapon dmg, minor slayer, hard to pass it up.

Hmm... True. Very true. I just got finished doing some research on it.

try the set out in maelstrom and you'll have a hard time keeping your pants on. You should've seen it back in the vr14 days. I ran it even on my vr16 when it was vr14. 8% flat crit, 70% movement speed. vr14 purp gave same stam/wd/reduction as vr16 now. and 3piece set gave 4% crit and 8% cost reduction/70% movement speed.

it has always been a good set, you'll love it.

My setup is purely for vma speed runs (cp is not optimized tho), not sure if you wanna go there again since you have weapons already

You guys have no idea how long I've been looking for vMSA stamDK builds just to get rough numbers of where my dmg/CP points should be!

You're welcome. If anything, the credit goes to Game of Thrones for making me want to polish-up on my melee/stamina builds. And being as I have all of the Maelstrom stamina-based weapons, I figured why not ask a question about the best combination of weapons and overall gear I should go with. Lol.
