Magicka bosmer?

I'm still fairly new and trying out the nightblade(it's the closest to a monk from another mmo waaaay back) I've raised a kahjiit stamina nb to lvl 22 and now want to run a magicka nb through the same content to see which one I enjoy more for now. I love the way kahjiit and bosmer look.
Are they viable magicka nb? I've looked but most threads are dated, mention cp, or crafting sets I don't have access to yet. They don't have any magicka regen, but then most races dont(actually thought it'd be cool if bosmer got some magicka regen instead of fall damage. Ultimate respec race. But that's another topic) for a new player (mostly solo no cp) are they viable for magicka or should I just save myself the frustration and save bosmer for when I make a stamina templar.
Btw mostly pve but I may want to break into PvP one day.

Bosmer's race traits are Stamina but you can do magicka, just realize you will not be at the top of Min/Max for damage. It will be a challenge but at least you can regain Stamina faster for CC breaks

✭✭As long as you don't go for #1 leaderboard spots, your race doesn't matter much. I've completed all veteran trials on a bosmer magicka templar and I know other people who also do very well despite having a race that doesn't fit thier playstyle.6

✭Oh I figure I've got awhile before I min/max as long as I'm not gimping myself. I played and iksar monk as soon as they were available on EQ. 20% exp penalty and most of it solo(before WOW came out solo wasn't....encouraged. possible, but slower) I loved my Monk but it was painful sometimes. Well Woody's racial passives don't allow for you to be the highest Damage dealer. There are other races out there that do better top end damage.

Since argonians are slated for more healing(and a touch of magicka?) Seems that wouldn't be gimping myself, no? But the reason I was asking for a more experienced and up to date advice was to prevent said gimping from the games fine players. Besides, one lizard character for 8 years, figured I'd try something new.0 -

Ya you're not going to hit the top of the leaderboards but you can play any race/class combo and do fine with it. My Ex is running a Orc Magicka Sorc right now with destro staff and she is doing fine.
As for the lizards, I am playing with Deltia's Argonian Magicka Nightblade tank. They are not going to be gimped as one might think with the next patch. Right now he is a beast but low level with a ton of Champ points nothing is really challenging at his level.0 -

✭I made one ( Grave Shadows ) the shorter perspective makes him look like he runs faster! (even if he's not) if I stick with him I need a wolf mount(black preferably) for that "Elfquest" feel lol. Thanks everyone.0
