Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Dark Brotherhood is tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo costly to have fun! Extremely frustrating!

So I used the blade to murder an innocent citizen with the full indicator of (Hidden) which means that NOBODY IS SEEING ME! So I engage in the animation to kill the person and I get a fricken bounty put on me. How the hell can that happen?

How the hell can anyone truly enjoy this DLC (including TG) without going into bankruptcy? Please fix your game, ZoS! your game is becoming more irritating as time goes by.

Not that gold is an issue for me, but I also find it annoying that when you murder someone with no witnesses around you get a bounty.

You know that you come out of stealth to kill them, right? Any witnesses around would be able to see you.

Counterfeit pardon edicts are pretty easy to get from TG dailies if you have that DLC so you could just pop one of those.

Since I stopped killing NPCs near other NPCs I don't get a bounty anymore. I now kill the NPCs that are inside homes, by them selves.

I also tend to target the generics outside in the fringes of the target area, I rarely get caught with those. But, if I do, I have the passive that reduces the bounty at an increased rate (get at least the first level so the tick is every 3 minutes not 20 minutes). So, I just go hide somewhere until the heat is down, usually I log to another character for a few minutes while I am waiting.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

The other thing you have to remember, is even though the game tells you you are hidden, if you try to twitch that, your going to get caught more often than not. I don't do anything unless I am in Stealth for at least 5 seconds. Too many times I have gone into Stealth, then a few seconds later I am taken out of Stealth.

Now, I wait to make sure my Stealth is going to stay before I act.

    Simple; don't get caught.

I've incurred a bounty only twice. And I usually suck at stealth games.

Yeah, and take a good look around - some NPCs are leaning at a wall and do nothing and are easy to overlook. Or those servants which wander around and care for garden work and stuff - these are all potential witnesses. Always observe their pattern and when you got what they are doing, you can plan the ideal time for the attack - take down with brutality, highest damage output you got and quickly - don't let them cry or move away, kill them, you are not supposed to fool around with them.

In addition to not getting caught, you can save DB stuff for the last thing you do in a days game play, and your bounty will go down during the time you are logged out.

This is just a matter of gear, passives, consumables and learning NPC mechanics. If you cannot do this without getting caught it is definitely user error. Only the Argonians marks at Hissimir require a bounty to kill since they are static with their backs to the wall. Other than that it is real easy to ninja jitsu all DB, TG and Legerdemain content.

Uh yeah I'm completely behind them. The game starts doing it's animation routine, and then it stalls out and does nothing.

As far as getting good. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the quests... just that the quest should pay more if it involves in getting bounties. So far these quests are not profitable at all considering the fact that you have to pay to get out of a bounty each time. Why even do these quests when you aint getting jack *** from it other than some random junk?

    Another failure on ZoS part.

Of course I'm doing it all wrong. Of course this game is not bugged at all... after all it's the haters of this game that makes false accusations claiming that they're experiencing bugs when it's not true at all.

After all those who do experience a flaw in this game must be doing something wrong, right?

Sometimes the animation starts then decides line of sight wont allow it. Also doing anything sometimes breaks the animation and it stops. Most noticable to me on this is moving.

As far as the bounties go i dont care so much. It actually entertains me. I like to see how close people can before i fail.

You come out of stealth to kill them, if there are other npc's nearby they will see you. If you're saying you get a bounty every time then you're probably doing something wrong. I rarely get a bounty doing them and when I do most of the time its because I cant be bothered waiting for them to go somewhere more secluded. If you have the thieves guild dlc then get counterfeit edicts to pay it off, I'm actually working towards getting the achievement for paying 100k to the fence to clear bounties, I don't fancy racking up the whole lot in one go so when I get seen I just go to an outlaw refuge. If you pickpocket them before killing them you could probably afford to get a bounty 50% of the time, fencing the stolen goods will cover the bounty and then you can hand the quest in for some profit

The guy is doing it wrong, its not a bug, its logic. When u get up to kill, you leave stealth, if someone is near, they'll see you.
Why are u complaining about something thats U as a player that is screwing up?

jesus man, thats the entire point of DB and TG, risk vs reward. You screw up, you pay up. Dont be such a noob.
And im pretty sure the animation doesnt stall everytime, your just finding dumb crap to complain about.
Not sure if it will help, but dont try to move/do any actions while the animation is going on.

the problem with dark brotherhood is the lack of rewards, after murdering people for 2 hours i only get 8k of money, with a 7k bounty, i can get more money doing pvp without any bounty,
i couldnt withstand more than 2 days of playing dark brotherhood or thieves guild, its boring and costly. two expansions i will never ever buy.

It's not costly at all if you stop worrying about getting rid of the bounty. Quite a few have been playing with very high bounty ever since justice system was introduced.

If you are playing a criminal type character, just sneak around if you go into town.

Rewards aren't great, but if you're racking up a bounty like that, you're not even trying. Thieves guild heists now give motifs for a top run, so that's good for me. To me the two expansions post questline just add flavor to the overall game and weren't really meant to be the all out best source of income. Also, some people prefer the theiving, murdering side of things to pvp or other activities. I can respect that.
