Patch Maintenace Question

Being as this is supposedly the patch to put consoles on the same level of smoothness as Mac/PC, would the expected wait time be 3-5hrs. before the servers are live again?

I'm trying to know whether or not I should start catching up on Game of Thrones, but I told someone I'd help them grind as soon as servers go live again.

Good question. I'd expect for it to take around 5hrs.

As for being as smooth as PC (just maintaining 30FPS in most of the game)....... I'll believe it when I see it :/

Watch GoT, if you're late and the person complains tell them everything that happened in the episodes so you couldn't get away. If they complain you gave away spoilers then tell them they should be more understanding of GoT viewing time then.

On a serious note, just go watch the show, better to pass time having fun and rearrange the grinding than sitting around twiddling thumbs being bored. Or if the person has your contact information have them let you know when it's up and tell them you'll be on as soon as the episode you're on is finished.

Also as a off topic note I have only ever watched the first half of the first episode of GoT, this has almost cost me many friendships as I am apparently a lesser being for it.

I was wondering this too. Had said I'd go help someone with delves when server was back but didn't want to go get caught up doing other stuff if it wasn't going to be too long.

Be good if they put up an estimated finish time but I imagine that would be difficult to work out.

It's not worth the backlash they would get if they overran that. They already get enough complaints for even taking servers offline to then give expected up times which are not met would cause more drama.

As I said for Ch4mp just go do whatever you were planning, the people you agreed to do content with can still do it with you if you're an hour or two late.

This maintainence is to fix the cause of the dashboarding issues that's it. It's a hot fix

@Turelus yeah the backlash would be bad, too many people get bent out of shape with stuff like that. It's a shame as it would be good to have a rough idea.

In a previous MMO I played they would post every hour or every time they had an update on the downtime in a thread about it. This was normally for unexpected or emergency downtimes however, if a normal maintenance was scheduled they would give an idea of how long and then just update the thread saying "We've run into some issues and this has been extended for x time"
