ALTMER or DUNMER magicka DK

Wanting the DK experts to help me out with this one.. They're both good races to play with. I'm wondering which race would be better for a dragon knight DPS PVE build. The high elf has passives that are kinda hard to pass up but the dark elf has a passive that helps increase flame effects.If anyone can compare them for me and tell me which would be better for a good damage output....that'd be great.

P.S. I was gonna go Flame staff with julianos 5 piece light armor set and Valkyn Skoria head and shoulders. (Extra info if that helps)

Dunmer deals roughly ~2.5% more damage than Altmer. Altmer will definitely be stronger while leveling, but at endgame the damage from Dunmer is likely to outperform the regeneration.

Dunmer is just superior. Also they get a slight boost to the other elements soon plus you have a notable difference in stamina over an altmer. That extra block or dodge can make all the difference. Plus they don't make bad stam DKs should you want to change.

Altmer adds 10% Magicka/ Dunmer 9% Magicka
Altmer adds 4% flame damage/ Dunmer 7%

1% magicka is less valueable than 3% flame damage.

So Dunmer will slightly outperform Altmer, but only with flame damage.

The big tipping point for me is - from a PvP point of view- the extra 6% Dunmer stamina, particularly with the necessity for S&B.

Exactly and 9% magicka has always been a pitiful and unnecessary passive in my opinion.

If you're using it for pve I would say dunmer without a question. You won't need the regen from high elf on pve.

But in PVP you also need stamina, and dunmer has +6%. And it's really nice to be vampire in pvp, and dunmer's flame resist looks really good

Yeah sorry I should have been more clear. Dunmer is still going to be your best bet for pvp, it's just not as much a straight forward choice imo. Some people might prefer the extra regen that the high elf gives, for pvp.

Fire resist isn't notable at all. It's the same figure iirc from launch of the game and things are hitting a lot harder these days.
