So @Azurethe got perma banned because of gap closing into a keep, an act which 50% of pvpers or more have done in their playtime, some of them unintentionally. This is a thing thats a lot more common since zos somehow messed up gap closers in the latest patch...again.

So gap closing into a keep is bannable yet people have been leaping, gap closing into keeps and through doors since the game was released and yet it's quite fine then. Why suddenly perma ban a guy whose played a very long time for a bug in the game that a buggy patch brought.

I mean people have literally HACKED the game, it's known they have hacked, they said they hacked they were spamming perma meteors and flying... yet they were unbanned.

Nice Logic there zos.

I said this recently in another topic.

Game mechanic has been around for a while to do this. Not everybody reads forums. Some will be busted without knowing Zo$ change of heart to enforce this.

Don't worry, perma ban means 3 days or 7 days they will be back.

Shows the height of incompetence they wouldn't add a news article on the launcher or even better, a mail telling this should be used no longer. After all how many wasted CP160 mails we got lol

I am fully against stopping this as its an exploit, but them leaving it around for so long doing nothing, seems Zo$ go about it the wrong way in my eyes.

A way to stop it would be to simply fix it, not ban players that don't deserve to get banned.

He's already appealed it and got rejected i believe.

Yet the CE users are still playing after their short time out. I'm losing hope in Zos more and more.

Fix it? You mean try and fix it i think. Zo$ are rushing out small PvE content and hairstyles because that is where the money is at. Spending time to fix a broken mechanic will earn them nothing.

Also this has been going on so long, if they wanted to fix this broken mechanic they could of....but LOOK at that new hairstyle you can buy in crown store lol Priorities priorities after all

Also your mate was on forums bragging about doing this. Don't see how he could of thought this would end differently if he had any experience with Zo$

Can you realise than PVE and PVP have different team of developpers ? As if someone who designs hairstyle could fix netcode. Sigh

On topic I believe this @Azurethe person has been rightfully banned and I hope more get the ban hammer, including CE users.

Do you know how many videos there are and how many people just do this? There were videos of the hackers flying and yet their not banned anymore...

It genuinely confuses me zos logic, there is no warning, there was no thread stating this is isn't to be used, because previously considering they never fixed the dk leap/ nb teleport into keeps that it was considered as part of the game. If their suddenly going to change their view of it and throw of bans for doing it they should at least make a post about it and send it to the other 99.9% of players that don't actually come to these forums.

I think most of Haderus is on video gap closing into keeps.... all three alliances .
Permanent banning seems like an excessive punishment.

If all he did was gap-close into keeps I bet he gets unbanned in a hurry. There's no way ZoS can ban people in good conscience over their own [snip]-up.

It's not karma you idiot, hundreds of people do this not even realising it's an exploit or now ban worthy, if you don't come on the forums and just see people doing it in game, you're going to try it that's human nature.

This is on ZOS, their mistake and no one should be stopped playing a game they payed for because of it.

Oh and while I'm here and were on the subject of ZOS, sort out the ESO plus on Xbox, take my money and don't allow me to use any DLC or craft bags ect. You need to stop bringing out DLC and fix your *** game.

If zos are going to go ahead with perma banning for bugs in game then they need to catch up on bans:

- People that used multiple mundus
- Anyone who has ever leaped into a keep
- Anyone who has ever teleport strike through a door
- Anyone who intentionally uses broken skills in pvp such a when reverb could chain cc
- Cheat engine users
- People who intentionally caused fall dmg deaths via meteor.
- The people who intentionally lagged out a server using meteors + standards to get scrolls without opposition.
- People who used nirnhorn when it was bugged on armour.
- People who duped items
- The people who farmed ap using the camo hunter bug with caltraps.

And the many, many more bugs eso has had.

Yet they've been doing it and I'm pretty sure ZoS's ToS to play the game states that they don't have to 'inform' people about things like this in the game. It's not ZoS's fault for people not being resourceful enough to at least look at the forums for news like this. Not everyone will use an obvious exploit and it's about time they started to crack down on it. So yes, it is karma. Whether this person did it based on ignorance or not, it doesn't matter. Don't do the crime if you can't handle the time.

Buddy, if you exploit a bug for an advantage, you're cheating. Plain and simple. You have a choice to exploit or not, so you're responsible. Cheaters get their dues.

if they started banning people for leaping into keeps they would have to ban alot of people theres more to this story then him leaping into keeps there usually is so what did he really do you don't normally get a permaban for exploits like this. If he really got banned for leaping into keeps he probably be won't be banned for long then.

Well, ZOS makes a habit of keeping their cards close to the chest, so they wont say what he did. My money's on it being more than just gap closing into a keep.

It's about time they cracked down, l expect to see a large number of people disappearing for a few days, and some for much, much longer.
