Rare or Powerful Shield in the Game?

I was going to make a build around the soon-to-be updated Master's Sword. I figure if I use a 2pc Monster set, 3pc Agility, 5pc crafted tank armor, 1pc Master's Sword.... that leaves me with a shield left over. Is there a shield out there that gives a one piece bonus trait? Or perhaps a rare shield that has a powerful enchantment?

    3pc agility? Wouldn't you rather endurance on a tank build? As for shield, I'm sure there's a maelstrom shield, not sure what it does though

    Edit: I just checked and couldn't find a maelstrom shield, but I did find a shield called 'the maelstroms shield' which was part of a set. Maybe that's why I thought that.

    MSA shield is just a fancy looking shield with a hakiejo enchant.

    No they aren't. They are part of the glory or permafrost sets too.

    Have you noticed how there's no good "Master" or "Maelstrom" shield? You can combine Master and Maelstrom daggers, axes, etc... but you can't combine a Master/Maelstrom Shield? And... no... let me go ahead and stop you... the Maelstrom Shield (which is the equivalent to crafting a plain shield with a prismatic enchantment) does NOT count as a true Master/Maelstrom shield. Fire whomever made that shield and get the guy/girl who had the ingenuity to come up with "A Khajiit's Tale" to make a decent shield. Get more people with visionary skills and less "they'll have to settle for this..." attitude.

    Seriously, though: Whomever thought of the Maelstrom Shield needs to be flogged (figuratively speaking). Really? A prismatic shield with no beneficial enchantments or traits?!?!

    Use a 4 pc set instead of Agility.

    Yeah but he meant if they had a unique enchantment or anything. They dont.

    The shield you get for doing the normal or veteran imperial city prison quest is unique in that it has a health recovery enchantment. Not sure if that makes it any good though...

    Now wondering why we still dont have unique 1pc Shields :neutral:
    For the Maelstrom Shield, well, everyone was disappointed and I think those Shields came without being part of the Permafrost or Glory Set at first, too.

    It also talks to you sometimes when you raise it to block.

    From my experience, the Lord Warden curses at you when you draw your weapon and shield. It appears to have an internal cooldown though, so it doesn't happen every time. He also has special "are you mocking me?" quotes when used in the Imperial Prison dungeon.

    After the grief his fight gave me the first time I went there, I'm kind of sad I won't get to bash him into people's faces forever. Eventually, I'll have to replace the shield with something better.

    Any shield with sturdy trait will make it

    How about just a Master's Shield with a unique enchantment of:

    "Reduces the Cost of Bash by X and the Cost of Blocking by X. Increases Bash damage by X."

    And, of course, you can have Divines, Sturdy, Infused, Nirnhoned, etc as the trait.

    It's just merely two jewelry enchantments on one shield. Nothing OP... but just something nice to strive for. You've got plenty of time to add it to the PTS for testing, too.
