Australian Maintenance

The new maintenance times are ludicrous, seriously what "feedback" were you listening to when you changed them. Every Aussie player has been screwed by these changes, at least before we could still a couple of hours in to do our writs, levelling, whatever. 6pm local time, what a joke....

East Asia feels your pain, bro. Hopefully, servers will be back up so we can play by 8 or 9, at least. But you know they have to cater to the majority of their customers.

I get home around 5pm, before (6am EST maintenance) I had 3 hours to do writs/pledges on all alts, now (4am EST) I only get 1 hour to do them all... then thats probably all I can play until 24 hours later if its a long maintenance.

Huh. I specifically subbed to SWTOR so I could play while ESO is down for maintenance and SWTOR is down at the same exact time. :s

Don't forget about Japan. They're more or less on the same time as Eastern Australia and nothing says "Welcome to ESO!" better than server maintenance when they get home from work.

All good here in the West for once 4 pm today instead of the usual 8 pm, it will always inconvenience someone somewhere no matter what time it is just have to accept it. As was said in one of the comments above this one " First world problems " .

Seriously, how many Americans are getting up before the sun to play this game? Sure cater to the majority, just don't cater to the complainers which they have done. If ZOS released a spreadsheet showing that this time slot was the most consistent time slot that they had the fewest players on, then I'd shut up and go sit in the corner. But, I know its not - they're just pleasing a few whiney kids.....

Afaik this timeslot is no permanent change, the people who would perform the maintenance were most likely off of work yesterday (4th of July, US holiday) and this was the time they were back to work and could perform maintenance. I expect the standard schedule next time.

I think i read somewhere that this will be our new maintenance time.. which sucks as it means a lot of Aussie players who work full time wont be able to play at all for the day.

Any link on that if you don't mind searching for what you saw? To me it makes no sense, I see a fair number of people (rightfully) upset about the current maintenance, but I do not see any evidence to the idea that this time is intended to be regular for both servers.

Back to complaining then, that's some serious [doo doo]. Is that time frame even reasonable for any region on the EU server?

    Aww wut? :disappointed:

It was only recently changed to 6am EDT and this is is even earlier in the evening, all but guaranteeing no chance to play that day if it's more than a few hours.

Overused meme is overused. Stop with these kinds of comments, they're the least constructive of all. If you have anything against 1st world feel free to throw your computer out of the window and visit the poor people in Africa.

The maintenances are slow and harm a huge part of the playerbase. No idea what are the numbers at the time of the maintenance, but ZOS should - if they have any interest in avoiding further complaints - provide us with an answer that would explain why the current maintenance times are the best. Sure, they don't have to, but we're in 2016, PR is incredibly important.

Feedback against it has been given so many times before, threads like these pop up and are being supported every single week.

These maintenance times are not good. They are in middle of the day. From 10 to 13 usually here in Europe.

    Agreed.

On West Coast I use to be able to get home from work and get dailies done but now that day is a total write off!

I don't think that word means what you think it means.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".
