Yup. The only thing you would have to think about afterwards are Skill Points, which you would earn through questing and exploration. It lets you have more flexible builds and choices for how you plan-out a character, too.
For instance, if you go with an Assassin archetype that ends up not needing more than 200 Skill Points, you could forfeit having to even step into a lot of zones with that character eventually (when One Tamriel comes out) and instead go a different path than your other characters, which seems like a very welcome addition to the game.
Champion Points are definitely much better than Veteran Ranks ever were. Haha!
