Junipus✭✭✭✭✭While my technical knowledge is a little rusty, I believe if it's en mass with a large number getting rollbacks it's due to the server losing track of variables such as player position, health, abilities etc from either computational bottlenecks or packet degradation which causes it to rollback to the last known good point for the vast majority of people. It's why pre 2.0 days you'd have entire campaigns in PvP experiencing rollbacks of up to an hours progress and even affecting PvE when it got really bad.
If it's just a single person, or a small number at random times then it's more likely to be packet degradation from that person's client likely caused by traffic issues on their network or addons causing problems with the data that was sent. These are normally intermittent and tend to go away after a while, although not much comfort when you're in the middle of trying to play for an evening.The Legendary Nothing0 -
