but seriously why cant you just put a box before you enchant something saying do you really want to enchant the system is flawed with all the lag sometimes you click on a menu and you apear in an other seriously its kinda lame that you guys cannot do anything about an issue like this its like when people deleted their gear by mistake and you guys did a new feature that locks items its kinda the same thing with this one.

Like seriously why would someone change the enchantement on these weapon you guys should just unable this option

I dunno how enchanting is on PS4, but on PC when you enchant an item whether its a fresh enchant or not, it pops up a secondary window that shows Enchant going out and the enchant going in with a big Arrow. On top of that, you had to select the Glyph that would be replacing it, that alone is a big give away you're in the wrong window to Charge the weapon. The Charge weapon window is very different showing you how much is left on the bar and what Soulgem you want to use.

On ps4, you click "triangle" then select "enchant" then you must click X to select an enchantment.

Even though I feel for the OP, they must have been button mashing.

I once was trying to repair my gear and ended up destroying the boots I was wearing...due to mashing the buttons too fast.

It's not about effort Scooter, It's about messing up and taking responsibility for your own error.

I'm done with the whole "I screwed up and if ZoS doesn't fix my problem they are lazy and stupid" way of getting what you want. It's pathetic.

It's pretty much that way on console too.

Enchant shows 2 windows: Item gaining an enchantment, and item losing an enchantment. There is no confirmation pop-up when you select the Glyph but if you're taking your time it shouldn't matter.

Charge shows 1 window showing the bar. The increase amount is displayed in pink while the remaining charges show green.

I thought this was going to be a thread about confessing mistakes we made so I am going to do just that.

I created a full set of champion 160 yellow armor and forgot to put traits on any of the pieces. A mule has them now because I can't convince myself to deconstruct them.

Not sure how you could do it by mistake. Enchanting a weapon, you actually have to select the enchant. Not like you can miss that. You would've had to pick a weapon enchant to stick on it. It's a completely different colour/shape/design/logo thingy to gem stones.

This isn't salvation, this is prevention I'm talking about.

This thread is number "I've lost count already" about adding an enchant to a vMSA weapon, so it clearly shows that a lot of ppl make this mistake, a lot more will and something needs to be done design-wise to prevent this mistake from happening again. Especially when there's a lot of hard work put into obtaining such a reward
